Frankie Boyle and Nigel Farage argue over Andrew Lawrence's "Mock the Week" criticisms
The comedian Frankie Boyle clashed with the Ukip leader Nigel Farage on Twitter on Tuesday evening, over a spat between Mock the Week presenter Dara o' Briain and right-wing comic Andrew Lawrence earlier on Tuesday, Ó Briain hit back at Lawrence after he accused panel shows including Mock the Week of indulging in “liberal back-slapping”.
In a Facebook post Lawrence said the BBC programme and those similar to it featured “ageing, balding, fat men, ethnic comedians and women-posing-as-comedians” making jokes at the expense of Ukip and Farage. Ó Briain responded by calling Lawrence “bitter” and “self delusional”.
Ahh, gotta love Frankie.

he was one of the best parts of Mock the Week.

Frankie Boyle was Mock the Week.
twitter is interesting because of situations like this, comedians, politicians and Danny dyer.
Frankie went downhill post Mock the Week. Andrew Lawrence is funnier regardless.
I'd never have thought Andrew Lawrence was a 'right-wing comedian'.
He just seems to be telling other comedians to up their game a bit. The last couple of series have mostly been Tories: let's make fun of how posh and rich they are, UKIP: let's make some Farage/Hitler jokes.
At least on Have I Got News For You they're funny.
Honestly I can't decide which of them is a bigger asshole.
Still doesn't match up to the James Arthur incident

I hate Frankie Boyle with a passion, he's always been just a giant cunt.

This is genius

At least he isn't Nigel Farage.

Both cunts.
how is this news?
Both cunts.
What an amazing argument.
Yeah Frankie is just as much of a cunt.
I would take some comedian being a cunt over a leader of a political party being a cunt.
Both cunts.
Both comedians.
Yeah Frankie is just as much of a cunt.
Without any aspirations to impress his cuntishness as government policy though, so I think he wins on this one.
What am I missing out on here? I love Frankie Boyle such a good comedian. Do you guys know him personally or have I missed out on something obvious, why is he such an ass?

Well one example springs to mind is that after Scotland voted No in the referendum he said something along the lines of "I always thought the number of cunts in Scotland was 2 million"
"ageing, balding, fat men, ethnic comedians and women-posing-as-comedians"
It's funny, because Frankie Boyle is pretty famous for being an 'offensive' comedian, and him being (it seems) annoyed by Lawrence's comments is proof that he does actually give a shit, considering this is pretty fucking offensive. 'Ethnic'? 'Women-posing-as'? Ah yes, the classic 'Only white men can ever be funny' line. Hilarious.

There's not much wrong with Independence if you ask me, especially from a monarchy. Obviously the idea falls flat when the wrong politicians are involved but I don't know much about Scotland's politicians and I guess I shouldn't hold out much hope, but not much hope in the English politicians either.
Frankie Boyle was Mock the Week.
that is inaccurate.

He probably should have left it at his first reply, since that was a nice burn. Nigel Farage responded in kind as well.
"You didn't hear me say it" is definitely not Frankie's best work. It's not really funny and it doesn't even work as an insult. It just seems like he couldn't come up with anything better. It pretty much turned into an elementary school argument.

The scottish referendum did not involve leaving the monarchy.
From what ive seen, Frankie Boyle is actually a pretty nice guy.
acting like an offensive asshole is part of his comedy act, if you ever see him out of character in interviews he comes across as a completely different person.

Indeed. His books also show much of this side of him but combined with his humour. He actually seems to be pretty left-wing.
