[release]This thread is part of a series of similar threads, all of which are meant to be a safe haven for all artists, nomatter if you're unsure of your ability and don't want to make a thread, are lazy and don't want to make a thread, or tend to get yelled at when you make a thread but feel like your work needs to be posted anyways.

Is there any criteria as to what I can post?
Your job here is to post pictures you're proud of, so long as they come from some sort of camera. This isn't a dumping ground for a batch of stuff from that party you got drunk at last night, posts still require some form of artistic integrity. If it's related to the discussion at hand, maybe, but, whatever. nobody wants to see fifty people they don't know holding three beers each and having trouble looking at the camera with both eyes.
WHY should I post here, and not make a new thread (or not post anything and cry in a corner)?
As opposed to individual threads, this thread is much more conducive to getting people talking back and forth about techniques and equipment, since derailing the conversation is kind of the point. Also, If you only have one picture to show, it's better not to make a whole thread about it unless it's fucking awesome.
:siren:RATINGS AND CRITIQUES HEAVILY ENCOURAGED:siren:
There's nothing like thinking your pic isn't worth posting, then finding out everyone loved it. Keep critiques friendly, but don't spare the details. If someone really messed up, tell them how you think it can be fixed, instead of bitching them out for not knowing something that you know/wish you knew and pretend you do.

LINDSEY JEANNE SMITH (SLATE), 22 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Sat. June 12, 2010. She was born March 14, 1988 in George Air Force Base, California, moving to Antioch in 1996. Lindsey was known for her bubbly, charismatic personality. She was an uninhibited free spirit who touched the lives of everyone she met. Lindsey had a true passion for life and wanted to experience everything life had to offer. Everyone who knew her knew what a dreamer she was, she was a true artist in every way. She was fully versatile and did well in every endeavor she set her mind to, whether it be acting, singing, painting or poetry. She had a beautiful soul and creative flair for fashion all her own. May need to enlarge the aperture for this one.
Fresh, no reposts from last thread. Encouraging criticism please.
Some of my work that i'm kind of proud of, quite large images, but not excessively large. The newest ones are at the top, with the oldest at the bottom of the post. Photography is the only thing I can really see myself doing as a career, so i'm trying hard to improve my work.

All of those are post-processed far too much for my liking.
You're doing well though - some good, somewhat interesting content. Framing and stuff isn't too bad either.
From what I've seen above, photographing strangers. It takes a lot of courage. Keep practicing!
Keep working at it, and maybe slow down with processing your photos.
The time you spend doing that could be far better spent actually getting out and taking photos and becoming more confident with the camera.

Thanks for the tip, I do have a lot of other photos that I haven't done so much to in post, but they just didn't make it up here. With my more recent photography I have been trying to keep post processing to basic colour correction and stuff, and obviously with my darkroom work it's hard to do any post processing beyond leaving it in the developer for different amounts of time. Here are one or two images with minimal post done to them (The B&W one was just a desaturate and slight contrast adjustment)

Yeah I'm definitively going to go to the London Eye. As far as everything else I suppose I'll just roam about London finding interesting things to do.
Some comments on your image, I like the post processing (color-wise), but I'm not feeling the overall theme. The pictures seem pretty unrelated and don't fit together. I still really like the flow of the car one and think it is the strongest of the bunch.

Get some good shots up there  and i get what you mean, i called the image 'home', mostly because it was sights i see everyday, they are all pretty much shots i've taken a hundred times and i was experimenting with post processing on them. But i'll take your advice too
Hot damn, new thread!
