He said it looks too cartoony.
I bet that first picture is enough to get a whole bunch of horny 13 year olds to buy it.
Why did they change it anyway? It looks really bad now
Looks awesome imo
Looks weaboo now with the cell shading of EVERYTHING
Will it be on steam?
Fucking awesome!
Looks like first person post-apocalyptic Crackdown. Fuck yes.
I love the cel-shaded style.
This is the most expected game of the year for me.

Yes, I'm sure we were all expecting it to come out this year.
He said it looks too cartoony.
I know that, I was wondering why that matters.

wat
Wow, this is just too cartoonish for me. Looks like a kids game now. I would buy if it they made a version with fallout looking graphics.

is that a pulp fiction reference i see (look at the objectives)
Wow when I first saw then magazine pictures the game looked great. (The one with the big machine and stuff. Eg. Before the cartoony look.) But now it looks like shit and I dont want to play it any more.
I, for one, like the new direction they've taken it in. It's bold, gritty, and yet still very humorous.
Maybe it's like FarCry where you could select a bunch of different shaders? Including cell-shading.
What I gathered from some posts here is the following simple "fact."
Graphics make the game, despite how the actual gameplay may be.
This is going to be [sp]the[/sp]. shit

In a sense, art direction (and by extension, graphics) do make a game these days. Until now, Gearbox were pitching this as a gritty and serious title set on a bleak planet. Apart from the dark and dusty graphics lending credibility to the plot, the lack of colour and drab environments were appropriate. After all, Pandora is a wasteland, littered with abandoned industrial facilities and failed colonies.
Of course, now they've fixed the game to match the art style: it's now very tongue-in-cheek, over the top with its violence and suitably littered with cultural reference gags. Unless they've failed to give the story a similar makeover, it's not a problem anymore.
Not that there's nothing wrong with the graphics. The character designs look downright awful and there's serious inconsistencies in texture quality which the bold art style only highlights even more.
I don't understand why they made the graphics so nice and then used cel shading. Some of the images look flat.
The graphics look awesome. The only thing i hate about it is the outline on the people and guns
Too cartoony
Fucking 09ers you think everything is cartoony
I hate that dark outline on all the characters and vehicles.

How the fuck does cel shading make it look "weaboo"?
