I still like "Perfect Day" more.
So the PS4 advert is reminding you of the old games / series that will be continued on PS4 and the Xbox advert is just a ton of TV shows and sports, lmao.

That was my first thought. Sony's commercials definitely seem to give the impression that you are apart of the game.
But this commercial is much better than before.

It has The Hives playing over it, but that's about all in the trailer I like.
It was just shiny cameos and 'Xbox On' sounded dumb.

This being true is not because people just blindly love Sony or something, its because Sony has way less of a shitty reputation than Microsoft and the way they handle the Xbox does.
Just because there's a 'bandwagon' doesn't necessarily mean that its wrong automatically because a lot of people follow it, people have legit reasons for hating Microsoft and the Xbox, and they also have legit reasons for loving Sony and the ps4.
This affects even me, when I look at this commerical all I can see is 'COME ON IN AND LET US PLASTER YOU WITH MILLIONS OF ADS AND MICROTRANSACTIONS', and thats from years of owning the Xbox 360.
When I look at a PS4 commercial I don't have any bad experiences to draw on, only nostalgic and non-nostalgic good ones, and thats exactly what Sony is playing on.

Nice commercial, I prefer the PS4 more in concept. But this one was a lot of fun.

Other than the whole 599 USD thing, the lack of meaningful titles in the first few years, the GeoHotz court case, and the whole leaking of every credit card ever used, then the PS3 didn't have any problems.
Nifty ad, anyhow.

Wow, the PS4 plays games? Holy shit, would have never guessed.
That's why Microsoft is pushing all the extra features and abilities like TV and Skype on the Xbox One in their ads. They realize "no shit, everyone knows it'll play games. Why do we need to advertise that?"
The Xbox One commercial shows off new things its bringing to the table. The PS4 ad is just... there. "Heeey, look at this game console!" ...Cool, it can play games.
