Hey guys, I've recenty been thinking about how Pokemon could be a lot more realisitic. The new games (Black and White) do a semi-decent job at it, but what about making it without plot holes? Heres how:
-Instead of having like three good trainers doing a gym challenge that a WHOLE WORLD is built around, make all of them try to complete the gym challenge. If not, whats the point? As well as this, there could be a tournament at the end of the game like in the anime, and if you win, you get to face the Elite Four.
- Second, why is there always a team of retarded thugs trying to take over the universe? And more importantly, how do they all look the same? If you can give them better motives (Though Team Plasma attempted to free slavery, they were still idiots), it may actually be believeable.
-Third, the protagonist shouldn't be a fucking kid. A 10-year old kid beating an evil crime organization and conquering the best trainer in the world is complete bullshit.
-Try to make the protagonist talk than more of a Y/N. For instance, Bioware made it so you decide how you want to act around people, so if they added this, maybe you can alter the plot for once.
-Remember those stupid phone calls in gold and silver? What if you could actually make your own friends and enemies, like Fable? It sure beats that stupid vs.seeker...
-Lastly, why not make enviornments more interactive? For crying out loud, you find ITEMS in pokeballs. How about minigames such as a mining game for minerals, like the Underground?
These are just a handful of ideas I have. How can we fix a milked-to-death franchise? An this can be the anime or the game.

All we have to do is invent time travel.
It's a game aimed at kids; what do you expect?

The show comes from the game. And you are posting points focusing more on the game not the show.

I've lost interest in Pokemon 10 years ago, when I was eight or so.
Not voting, kinda bias.
Pokemon is fine how it is. Gen V just needs sorting but it added a lot of new competitive game aspects.
And if you think the show is cannon to the game, its not...
Pull the goddamn plug already.
Stop making every game have the plot of "Stop evil organisation using legendary pokemon to [x] the world" and stop making new pokemon before we reach 1000.

This very much, the anime could keep going on even if the games are done. But honestly who cares about that, I can imagine the game being aimed at young kids and maybe adults but the show is just for kids.

Stop thinking the game should change just because you're getting older. The kids who are playing it now are the age you were when you played them. They enjoy it.
