Following the unexpected success of our commentary channel, we decided to give away a TF2 hat and a copy of Dungeon Defenders. All you have to do is subscribe =] Cheers
omfg free tf2 hat!!! NO WAY!!1 sub'd homie XDXD<3<3
We are saying thank you for the support we have received, some of which has been from this forum Nothing cheap about that
I was fucking kidding. What a shitty deal.
You sound like you didn't want to make this video at all, I mean I'm sure you did but the way you guys talk makes it sound like you're incredibly uninterested in the whole affair. If you're going to make a gaming channel at least try to sound excited and interested in what's going on, Zeus does this better than Ralof but it's still something to work on. Also don't give away hats, giving away a game like Dungeon Defenders is much better and there's more than enough games on steam that cost less than 10 euro/dollar/whateveryourcurrency is.
Its Zues and Ari, Ralof is the guy in Skyrim. Our names are on either side of the channel homepage We have done a few TF2 videos and thought it be nice to give back to those who have been watching them ,so the hat seemed like a better choice Dungeon Defenders is being given away over the Christmas period, so I am kind of lost as to what the point of the last sentence is? uninterested I think is a bit harsh, I admit that I was tired (Ari) when making this video, however I dont see a difference in the tones, possibly because it was a bit quieter because we recorded from two separate machines. However I thank you for the feedback, we are always looking to develop ourselves further and make better content, will keep in mind what you have said and hopefully make a better video on Monday
How to get people to do shit: give them TF2 items.
Giving away a TF2 hat for the people who watch TF2 is all good and well but if you want to appeal to a broader audience it's not such a good idea. What I meant with the last sentence was that for the cost of the TF2 hat you picked (Towering Pillar of Hats) you could've easily gotten an equally expensive game on steam which to me seems like a much better idea for a giveaway, games like Terraria or Magica or Limbo. You have to be harsh on yourself if you're doing something like this, saying "I was a bit tired" and "I don't see a difference in tones" are bad excuses for something that you NEED to work on. If you don't want to be harsh on yourself then I don't know why you're even trying.
Giving away a game and a hat for us seemed right with variety, especially as Dungeon Defenders is not going to be everyones cup of tea, but yes i see that we could have offered two game. Something to keep in mind for the future. I am not adverse to working on constructive criticism, with such a project you have to be very self critical and self judging. I realise what i wrote probably was not worded in the best way and was in now way meant to be an excuse but an explanation. I understand where you are coming from, It is something that we will be looking into now, especially as its been mentioned so early into the channel's life allowing us to improve dramatically
all you have to do is subscribe and wait a month why not just play the game for a month and trade for a hat with the metal you collected
That's shitty as fuck.
52 subs.. for a hat in tf2.. im gonna have to get onto this.
