We're a hard rock band with influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, to AC/DC and more heavy stuff such as Iron Maiden, Black Label and Black Sabbath. Our main influence is around the hard rock genre, AC/DC, Airbourne, and Motorhead in particular, but we bring in things from heavier and lighter genres.
We currently have only one original song, played at our first gig on Friday 30 March, at a Battle Of The Bands contest, which we unfortunately lost to a ska band.
Here are some photos of us.
Lead guitarist Rowen, plays a Tokai Explorer and Rally Les Paul.

Bassist, me! Damien. I play a Kramer Disciple D-1, and I do backing vocals too.

Singer and rhythm guitarist, Joseph. Plays a Gibson Les Paul Junior, Hamer XT and occasionally a Fender Highway 1 Strat.

And last, but definitely not least, our drummer Eamonn. What a magnificent drummer he is. There were no photos of him playing in this band, as we were all in the way, but here he is playing his cajon drum in a different act.

We do not currently have a logo or anything like that, so feel free to come up with one if you really really want to :v:
Since the crowd is all worked up you must be doing it right! Cool band dude!
Thanks! We're trying to get a 4 (minimum) track EP out by the end of the month. Maybe a bit into next month, but I dunno. It's a rough date right now.
Here's a nugget of news! We were featured in this week's local paper in an article about the Battle Of The Bands. I don't have it to hand right now but I'll type up the review when I can. I do remember a description of our lead guitarist though. Apparently he has a "bouffant mullet" :v:
That article manages to evade me well. Either way, it's something along the lines of our lead guitarist having said bouffant mullet, we managed to get a heaving mosh pit and I believe our performance was called "an adroit performance of punk and metal". I don't know what adroit means.
Anyways, more news. We managed to speak to the lead singer of a big local metal band called Ten Tonne Dozer. He loves us and is backing us as much as possible. We're getting gigs when possible too, which is always a plus.
Our EP recording is going to be pushed back until further notice due to the fact that we're playing different gigs and we all have various college things to do. After the 27th (our gig with Ten Tonne Dozer), we're playing a local talent show, rather uncreatively called Shetland's Got Talent. So that's fun.
I'm gonna try and get some more photos of the band on my camera this weekend. Nothing amazing, but it'd be good enough to send away with a press pack and shit like that.
I hate repeatedly bumping this thread but I like to update now and then.
Sometimes I think I should just leave this to die.
Anyway! We played our gig on the 27th. It was good fun, your average gig really. We got a total of £12.50 each. Not much, but it's money :v:
And this Friday, we have another gig with Ten Tonne Dozer, this time at a regular pub nearer the main street, so that should equal more money for us. This Saturday, we have a gig in Shetland's Got Talent - basically a regional version of Britain/America's Got Talent. A generic local talent show really, with a twist!
Voting is done in the form of cash in buckets, with all money donated to Cancer Research UK. The winners of the night also receive £250.
And at practice a couple of weeks ago, we took some photos which are up on the Facebook page, and a couple of videos. This one was fine, it was a test, but with the full band the mic clipped to fuck. So, enjoy this:

More nonsense from me.
Looks like we might be able to record our EP in about a month's time, and we've had an arty friend at college do a logo, album cover, shirts, shit like that as part of his course.
So a CD soon, with artwork and merch (depending on the costs)
We recorded this demo today in roughly an hour (not including setup, mixing and shit).

We got included in a local podcast this week, called Heavy Metal Buffet. They like us, which is always a good thing. They have a good range of metal music and chat and have guests and interview people and shit like that, quality stuff.

One of our friends did us a poster as part of his college course. It was for a fictional gig but it looks kickass.

A poster for Oxjam, which is this Saturday.

We've also increased our number of original songs to 4 with more in the works.
You guys are fucking awesome!
I think we're also being recorded at Oxjam. If we are, I'm going to try and rip the audio from the CD and upload it to youtube. I'm not sure if there'll be any video work being done that night though.
cool band !
Oxjam was a decent experience. We did surprisingly well considering that we only had one guitarist. Had a few compliments from other bands about how good we sounded too, which is cool. I made a lot of mistakes, which sucks but what can you do. I thought I lost my bass sound in a cover of Spiderman, but it turned out I kicked on my overdrive pedal.
An audio recording was done all the way through, we had a video taken of Hit The Gas, and we got interviewed about Oxjam. I'll try and get all the content on to Youtube at some point soon.
Oh and also, I got really drunk, windmilled (or attempted to) like fuck to Ten Tonne Dozer and vomited out the back of the bar.
