Free Weekend Warriors - A New Series Starring Yours Truely

Free Weekend Warriors is a series that me (Doktor Soviet in the videos), my brother (Crystal Mech) and a friend (Usually DVON2211 but we plan on having more. Phil was in the latest) have been working on for some time. The concept is that we play Steam's Free Weekend games and then Mech edits and uploads our experience.

We have been doing this for quite some time now, but the videos have received very little in the way of publicity, which is a shame because (and I am not trying to sound like an egotistical jagoff here but) I think they are really quite funny.

To help you recognize each player, the text is color coded for your convenience.

Your videos aren't that horrible. If I can make a few suggestions based on what i've seen, i think you guys could make some pretty funny stuff.

1. Try to tone down the "wacky" text editing and whatnot. Judging from what i've seen, you're going for a very criken-esque way of editing, but you don't have the natural charisma to back it up. Jokes tend to work if they're not that annoying, or comical observations that aren't bathroom humor.

2. Try to work on your comedic lines of things. You guys like to crack jokes, but from what I can hear, they're not too great. Try to think before you start spouting things out like a fountain of horrifying things. "Defend the poopstick" doesn't make any sense. "Defend the douchebags" almost makes sense, but not enough to be funny. This coincides with point 1, where you try to accentuate these jokes by way of "wacky lol" editing. Tone it down a bit, and you should be fine.

3. Finally, the video itself is way longer than it needs to be. We all love a bit of funny stuff between friends, but generally, when you're starting out trying to make it, you wanna make your videos short and to the point. Nobody likes watching 11 minutes of someone running to places, and 3 minutes of actual combat. (i'm looking at you, chivalry video.) try to cut down the filth and useless fluff. A longer video doesn't always mean quality.

That's all the constructive criticism I can muster up. It's not a whole lot, I know, but take it with a grain of salt, and maybe you'll make better videos in the future. Also, sound word of advice, the majority of facepunch dislikes inside jokes if they don't get them, so things that may be funny to you and your friends won't be funny to others if they don't get the jokes or they're not explained.
