Ben Hope, 39, and Jason Richards, 38, both from Cardiff, were each paid £1,000 in "blood money" to murder a middle-aged family man who owed money to a businessman. But the "hit" went tragically wrong when the balaclava-clad killers, who were on drugs, went to the wrong address in Roath, Cardiff, in April 2010 and murdered teenager Aamir Siddiqi by mistake. The 17-year-old's frantic parents, Iqbal and Parveen, fought to save their son but were knifed in turn by the killers. While the pair both protested their innocence during their four-and-a-half month trial, a jury unanimously found them guilty of Aamir's murder as well as the attempted murder of his parents. In sentencing, Mr Justice Royce said he had no choice but to "significantly increase" the minimum term of 30 years the prosecution had asked for.
protested their innocence
I think its fucking disgusting when people who obviously know they did it do this.

Not that I disapprove of the 40 minimum sentence here. There's no emotions, or anything, just two people who put money above the lives of others, and they deserve to be punished for it.
2k for a life ad the wrong one, doesn't sound worth it to me.
i was expecting wacky hijinks like the hitmen falling down the stairs or something, not a kid getting stabbed
I think its fucking disgusting when people who obviously know they did it do this.
Especially since they ate up 4.5 months of peoples time and money when it could have been done the first time around.
anyone else surprised by this statement:
stabbed an innocent schoolboy to death by mistake
how the fuck do you stab something "by mistake"?
anyone else surprised by this statement: how the fuck do you stab something "by mistake"?
They got the wrong person and address
They got the wrong person and address
Because drugs
Because drugs
I think the drugs had a lot to do with it. apparently they were flipping they're SHIT when they burst into the house whooping and screaming and smashing around. they probably actually thought the kid was the target and it never even occured to them who the parents were.
