Proposed punishments of animal killers on Facepunch - General

I've noticed something very revolting, and that is that people on Facepunch would love to have people who kill a few animals tortured SLOWLY and PAINFULLY for it. There are even more that advocate a death sentence for these people. How can people on Facepunch be so fucking dumb and want to kill a person just because he/she killed a few animals? They're animals for god's sake, you can rehabilitate an animal murderer, you don't have to kill them and you especially don't have to torture them. You people that agree with the things above need to grow up, and stop being a fucking 12 year old. and what's with people that just plain say that humans are worthless compared to dogs and cats because of something like "greed" or the "destruction we've done to the planet"

I think the point is, what makes Humans so fucking special that punishment that severe can only carry weight if it's inflicted on another Human being. Embellishing the point, most people consider themselves "Human" which yes is true but then shun the fact that we are once you strip away all of our accomplishments, feats, emotions and our intellect etcetcetc, we are animals. I think it's extremely ignorant to consider ourselves superior for whatever reason, the universe is going to pull some Karma shit and smack us all into oblivion for shit like this eventually. If a dog bit someone's throat out I'd kerb stomp the little fucker, why the double standard?
