Maybe it's because I've already seen most of these PSAs before, but I feel like Jon's kind of losing his touch. This didn't really get many laughs outta me.

Kinda the same but to be honest, he needs to stick to games. His game ones are just better than movies and shows. This one around he kinda focused too much on intentionally being unfunny like the mario mushroom jokes.
The editing is on point, I don't know if it was the timing or the zooms but the frying pan one made me lose my shit instantly

I actually remember some of these. The "aliens will steal your girlfriend" illustrated one aired when I was younger.

I think the main problem with people finding content creators "old stuff" better (especially when it comes to internet entertainment, because they don't share the screen with anyone else, essentially doing a one-man show) isn't that the comics humor "wash out" over time, but rather that the [I]format [/I]of the content creators humor is becoming more predictable to us, therefore losing the novelty it had a couple of years ago. Surprise and reversal of expected outcome are some of the key factors of good comedy, and it's very hard for a comic to stay completely unpredictable for years and years on end for the original fans. Especially (as I mentioned) when they don't have another person to bounce their comedy off of.
That's just my two cents on the matter, what do you think? What do you feel he did better in his old videos?
Personally I think Jon has done a great job developing his style alongside the insane increase in production value. He's toned himself down a little bit, but I think that matches the visual style of his set very well, which is important. Too much goofball would clash with the classy, smooth visuals in his new videos. It's clear that he puts much more effort into making videos with pleasing visuals now. Focusing on lighting, the gorgeous set and even his own looks. He's not just improving his style of comedy, but a video style that, while it's much more toned down than the high-energy goofball he was before, is more refined. (god that sounds pretentious of me) It's obvious that he absolutely loves making videos, and he's putting way more effort into making something that's not only funny, but is something that he can look at and go "Yeah, that [I]looks really good [/I]to me. I like that."

One thing I liked about old Jontron was the spontaneity, where as new Jontron feels very "prepared", given the scene/stage and all that. Not that it's a bad thing, Jonny-boy makes me laugh regardless of format, I watch his videos for him and his humor. But there definetely is a contrast in how he makes videos now as opposed to just 2 years ago.
