It got popular and overplayed.
Sometimes facepunch is just fucking retarded and instantly hates something once it becomes popular but I think in this case it was actually justified. I mean PSY himself said he would never perform Gangnam style live quite a while ago so even he was feeling it.

I don't think most of FP hates Gangnam Style as such. I don't at least. It's just the song is tainted by all the people who used the song as a platform for trying to appear hip and trendy and the innumerous parodies that got old within a week.
That and this really isn't deserving of the title old gold. More like slightly aged copper.
It got old real quick. But as far as stupid party songs go, it easily beats the other song that was stupid popular back then, which was Party Rock. Along with Sexy and I Know It.
Still sounds like hes say "Gundam" and not "Gangnam" to me. :/
