My US History teacher asked us this question. We mentioned things like enjoying sports, having freedom, being fat, stupid and bossy (sorry Euros :P), among others. It's a simple question, really, but...I had trouble finding an answer. So now I ask you this question, fellow countrymen: What does it mean to be an American? Im not from america but i think its logical to -Be born there -Live there :downs:
It means you have citizenship to the country. Pretty damn simple actually.
being born in america olol
Have to pay for your health service and makes JimboJib feel sorry for the poor there. That's what.
It means you are a Man who lives in FREEDOM, DIGNITY AND PRIDE.:patriot: Or that you're dumb and fat and a cow-boy. :v: I don't know. You choose. I mean, I guess it depends on the way its said. If you're like in Japan or something and then somone says "I think he's American" then probably the latter option. But if its like Obama making speech then the first.
Being born in the USA?
To live in America is to be an American. Easy.

My literature teacher asked us the same thing. She apparently believes we should let all the immigrants in, raise taxes, and permanently end the space program. How did such a naive person become a teacher in the first place?
