So I just got done watching this movie and it was quite a ride of emotions. I never saw any trailers or scenes so I didn't really know what to expect. I loved the gritty comedic violence. The movie was slow at some points, I wasn't really sure where the film was headed but It started to make more sense as the movie approached it's climax. All in all it was a good movie, Christian bale was very likable for being a cannibalistic serial killer. I was just wondering what you guys thought about the ending, It's open for the viewer to decide the ending but what do you guys think was happening? [sp]He killed all those people , It was all in his head, He is in his own reality and nothing makes sense?[/sp]

Great movie, one of my favorites.
Well, regarding the ending - you should read the book. [sp]The general idea is that everyone looks the same, wears the same clothes and go to the same places - it's what makes the story a satire of the yuppie. This is also why the characters allways mistake each-other for other people - like Patrick being mistaken for Halberstram by Paul. An interpretation of the ending in the book is that the lawyer never had lunch with Paul in london - he mistook him for someone else.[/sp] The movie is great but the novel is even better (and sicker).

i never had class, maybe you should post what you thought of a film in a thread once and then leave instead of posting how much you hated every film in every thread and try to convince everyone else it was bad. that might seem hypocritical of me but when i hate a film i say i hated it, explain why, and then leave.

I don't think there was one scene from this movie I didn't enjoy.
