are you fucking kidding me
Oh boy Ashens is going to be happy.
-snip-
late
Finally, I always wanted to spend £100 at poundland but now with these prices I have enough left over for a bus ticket.

Not about the food he's going to eat too
They'll have to change their name now.
Finally, I always wanted to spend £100 at poundland but still have enough left over for a bus ticket.
If you are spending £100 in a sale, you are still spending £100!

Ninetysevenpenceland has a sorta ring to it.

Something about how you worded that is leaving me confused.
Poundland is the UK's equivalent to the dollar store im guessing
brb just going to pop down to 97p-land and buy a distressingly bad dvd and a multipack of mars bars
or a really really tiny paddling pool apparently
Poundland is the UK's equivalent to the dollar store im guessing
It's better compared to the $1.50 store, where 99p stores is the $1 store
more "luxury"

Don't you mean you've always wanted to buy 100 items and have enough left for a bus ticket?
Wow the economy over there must be tanking.
They've been doing this for about a year at least by me actually. The one near me even went down to 95p at one point, but it's gone back up to 97p now.
They should change it to 95p saying it costs you 5p for a bag now, meaning you can't walk in with a fiver and get 5 things without having some change wjth you :v:
Actually I guess you could at 97p. I was still thinking alobg the lines of £1
Oh for fucks sake, nobody likes getting fucking 1p coins as change.
So I'm surfing around google images trying to get an image of what the hell poundland is and I find this

Is a liter pop at a budget store really $1.50 in the UK?

Those are 500ml and £1 is a bargain
Yeah, I usually buy the 500ml bottles of Pepsi or Tango which are 2 for £1, the cans are 3 for £1. And well done for actually saying Pop instead of Soda :P

WOW
Wow, what a ripoff. I can pick get 2-liters of Coke or Pepsi for $0.99.
Yes but our Coke isn't made with cheapass corn syrup sugar.
Also the price keeps me from buying/drinking too much.
€1.19 atm for 2L pepsi max at my local shop and that's cause it's half price.
We get ripped off for carbonated drinks.

Lots of stores where I live are selling 1.5L(~50oz) bottles of pepsi products for $1.07 (after sales tax)
20oz bottles are still $1.50 and up :v:
