I love Otto von Bismarck as a historical figure, so hopefully some people get some enjoyment from this video series on him.
Looking forward to this series.
This guy's voice alteration gimmick is really annoying. Bismarck had some serious underlying psychological issue, but he was what Kissinger could only wish he could be. Anyway, I've always loved this Bismarck quote from when he was 19 before he got his post in Aachen on if he was unsuccessful as a bureaucrat:
"I will become a well-fed Landwehr officer with a mustache, who curses and swears a justifiable hatred of Frenchmen and Jews until the earth trembles, and beats his dogs and his servants in the most brutal fashion, even if he is tyrannized by his wife. I will wear leather trousers and allow myself to be ridiculed at the Wool Market in Stettin, and when anyone calls me Herr Baron, I'll stroke my mustache in good humor and sell two dollars cheaper. On the King's birthday I'll get drunk and shout 'Vivat!' and in general get excited a lot and my every word will be 'on my honor!' and 'a superb horse!' In short I shall be happy in my family's rural circle, because this is our pleasure."

The story behind it is kinda irksome. It's not even stylistic, he originally did it because he needed to speed up a video for a presentation and just kept it.
And then he wound up being stuck with it since he doesn't think he could get away with dropping it.
