I keep thinking that with all this new technology we keep getting, the end is just going to be that much worse. I mean, what's gunna happen when we have to go back to steam power for example? Things will probally be much worse then they are now. What else can happen if this were to happen, I don't know... well what could happen if armagedon were to come knocking at our door?
Humans are meant to rely on technology. We'll be k

What the fuck.
If armageddon came knocking, I wouldn't open.
Basically, it wont happen.
If armageddon came knocking at my door, I wouldn't open it. I don't open my door for strangers =/
Uh, why would we go have to go back for steam power?
Ninja'd
Why would we go back to steam power? We're currently on the cusp of several new sustainable energy sources, and standard nuclear fission could keep us going for millions of years anyway.
What, wait, when are we going to have to use steam power?
Steampowered? - I see what you did there.

you should try giving up facepunch
permanently
seriously

We are the the dominant race on Earth because we depend on technology.
If Armageddon came knocking on my door, it would find a different house owner because I would have died a few centuries ago.

What would happen if this thread was cake batter and it rained lawnmowers? WHAT IF, OP? WHAT IF?
Let hope Snake Plissken doesn't get a hold of the doomsday device and shuts down the world!

I doubt that would do anything seeing as skynet is self-aware. It isn't going to like "Oh hai, i see you got a magnet there - hey, hey, what are you doing? WHAT ARE YOU DOING"
it will most likely kill you, or back itself up and infect more systems.

What if it used SSD's... We'll all be killed. Oh my god, SSD's are gonna kill us all. Burn them. Burn them all.
:tinfoil:
if we weren't dependent on technology we would still be in the stone age
[editline]07:57PM[/editline]
hell it wouldn't even be the stone age, probably before that
but what happens when we can't create some of the power we use to power our current devices thats what I meant.
If we had to go back to old technology it would still be more efficient then what it was originally. With better information we could make steam engines better...
Although, I do think some stuff is starting to go away with the new technology.
I used to just memorize phone numbers, but with cell phones there is no need to do that anymore. If I don't have my cell phone I can't call anyone. I remember the numbers I memorized when I was a kid and wanted to call my friends, but I can't memorize new phone numbers. Well I could I just choose not to because it is more of a hassle then putting it in my phone.

So when there's no wind, no sea and no minerals in the earth. I feel not having technology will be the least of our problems.
