I like that now adays the gags are being used to spotlight good things, like Miazaki, Guillermo del Toro, and now the guy who did Triplets of Belville, and the Illusionist.

Are Simpsons episodes still around the half-hour mark including ad-breaks nowadays?
That makes me wanna watch The Triplets of Belleville.
As a person who has watched quite a bit of french animated films I can honestly say they hit the nail on the head.
That song was very nice what's the genre called, also what episode was this featured in?
As a person who has watched quite a bit of french animated films I can honestly say they hit the nail on the head.
considering it was made by the french, i hope so also this is the best thing
What's that kind of music at the end called? I've always loved the sound of it but never known the proper term.
As a person who has watched quite a bit of french animated films I can honestly say they hit the nail on the head.
Yes, these are animated much more fluently if that's what you're talking about.
everything is better than the new simpsons animation. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7lpD7Uk.jpg[/t] ive seen better animation on sweet bro and hella jeff gifs
IMHO I'd rather have very natural, fluid animations like the one with the orange ceiling than "High detail, low quality, bland, boring, robotic"
My only question is where did their glasses come from?
As a person who has watched quite a bit of french animated films I can honestly say they hit the nail on the head.
What are the key "hints" that you see?
Source material: For anyone curious/didn't know.
There's a music video for the song in that trailer too. Maybe they should get Don Bluth to do a couch gag. :v:
Oh, cool, a thread about Sylvain Chomet. I liked his pre-L'Illusionniste work better!
What are the key "hints" that you see?
To be honest it is more a parody of Sylvain Chomet's films than French animated films as a whole, but the most notable parts for me at least are the exaggeration of personal imperfections, generally washed-out and unappealing colors, the scene dragging on and showing everyday activity, the lack of dialog and the almost ambient background-track playing during the whole scene. Those are kind of the main features in many of Sylvain Chomet's films as they he tends to show the sides of society that is generally not shown in films: The lives of people with boring lives and dead-end jobs and who are otherwise looked down upon by normal people. This is probably the short-film he made that takes all of these elements to the most extreme:
What's that kind of music at the end called? The more popular similar songs are from Yann Tiersen, from the movie Amélie
everything is better than the new simpsons animation. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7lpD7Uk.jpg[/t] ive seen better animation on sweet bro and hella jeff gifs
I disagree, Family Guy's current animation is definitely worse. Simpsons is definitely nowhere near where it used to be, but it's definitely not the worst.
Source material: For anyone curious/didn't know.
Isn't this also what inspired the art style of Professor Layton?
