One moment links 8 minds in disparate parts of the world, putting 8 strangers in each other's lives, each other's secrets, and in terrible danger.
A group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order.
They can all access each other's knowledge/skills/language/etc. The trailer looked really interesting and the concept is interesting as well. I've been recently watching other Netflix series and have been enjoying them. All 12 episodes will be out on June 5th.
Definitely going to see if I like it!
I really dig how the Wachowskis are keeping that HK gunfu too, will watch.
Generally speaking if its on Netflix......and its by Netflix.........its a guaranteed hit and a must watch for me, they really can't do anything wrong when they fund Programmes.
Looks pretty dumb and typical.
Maybe it'll be good, maybe it'll just be another "you have powers now, action/hilarity ensues as you have to uncover things".
I mean, jesus christ, they are somehow discovered to be linked together and will have to fight to survive. It's just a lazy replacement for superpowers and reasons for fights to happen.

And is that an issue? Is there something wrong with a HK Gunfu TV show?

Yeah, being boring.

These "typical!!" comments only apply to people who've spent a lot of time watching these types of shows. A lot of people aren't. Including myself.

They probably don't make these for people who spend time going through different seasons of different shows looking for similarities.
Yeah, being boring.
The plot doesn't detract too much if the action scenes are well-choreographed. I think they'll nail it.

I disagree. There's a lot that can be done with this premise. The eight people appear to represent a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds, standings, sexualities, etc. There is a lot of emotional power in this setup, having characters walk a mile in each others shoes, and explore how others see the world.
I mean yeah they are obviously gonna have some Hong Kong Gunfu that's enabled by the superpowers but what else do you really expect from the Wachowskis
Don't bring a camera to a gun fight.

also it's easier to slide on the ground if your getting pulled by a rope.

I think that guy is supposed to be the closeted movie actor.

You can say the same thing with just about any piece of action-related media, really. Would you prefer if there was no action at all and it was all suspense and drama driven? Like there aren't enough of those in television. Might actually be refreshing. You're being a bit too critical, considering the idea itself isn't very typical to begin with. I'd like to see what they can do with the concept.

that is some of the most pre-production footage i've seen somebody add in. you would think they wouldn't, but the cameraman and rope are just blatantly there

I'm hoping that that character is an action star/stuntman. It would make sense in that it could probably help out with some of the other characters when they're in a dire situation.

Well I guess you've seen the show then.
The text font makes it look like something from 2002

I think the guy must be an actor and this was just part of a scene within the show. There's a separate shot of a different moment from this scene and he's still got the harness on

The marks taped to the floor, rope and camera are too obvious to be an accident, I reckon it's a film set and the character is an actor or stuntman.
With Naveen Andrews' narration at the start combined with the music it feels like I'm listening to something from Far Cry 4
Is it coming to Australia on netflix?

It's obviously an actor filming a movie or something.
