Two former Cabinet ministers are calling for a secret ballot of Labour MPs to resolve the issue of Gordon Brown's leadership "once and for all".
Geoff Hoon and Patricia Hewitt have written to all members of the parliamentary party asking them to support a vote.
Ex-Home Secretary Charles Clarke confirmed that he had received the letter from his former Cabinet colleagues and was backing their move.
Please, I hope this passes. Then Labour might be in for a chance of winning the erection.
I do hope they win the erection too.
*Former* cabinet ministers backed by a *former* Home Secretary. 10 bucks says it sinks.
That erection looks interesting.
2010 erection
yOU SPELLED ELECTION WRONG IT SAYS ERECTION LIKE WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR WILLY LOL
ratted bad spelling
Hasn't this happened several times before? They never work.

They're still significant MPs. Plus I intentionally misspelled election. Look at the R and L keys on your keyboard, are they anywhere near eachother? Nope.
FYI guys it's fairly obvious he meant to say erection.
:ninja:'d

Breaking news!
A new post made in "In the News" recently had a breaking news that has nothing to do with any other country than from wich the poster is from!
This is terrifying news. Utterly... Terrefying!

God forbid people talk about UK politics. By that rationale, you shouldn't post anything about Obama or US politics 'cos it's irrelevant to us in the UK and elsewhere.

Aah, OK. I'm sure there's been the odd call for him to step down over the past few years though.
I'm in two minds about this. I don't think GB is a bad PM by any stretch of the imagination - but in the minds of the public, he a slow-witted dolt, so replacing him might give labour a boost at the election, and I'd rather lose Brown than have Cameron voted in.
John Prescott for PM.
anything but conservatives

The threads title is extremely misleading. A vote was SUGGESTED.
This was ages ago. Tories or LibDem will win anyway
I have a feeling it's all just a pipe dream. Besides, when has any party who's run this country actually done anything remotely tangible to make our lives visibly better?
Bring back the Romans, I say!

Yes because a second unelected prime minister in 3 years for a party that is collapsing in on itself is obviously going to wash with the public.

Lib Dems won't win, it's impossible, they'd need something like 50% of the vote at the very least.
Geoff Hoon lives in the village next to mine :D
It's either a outright tory victory or a hung parliament in the tories favour.
Then Labour might be in for a chance of winning the erection.
You want the current Labour party to win the election? Even after the mess they've made over the past couple of years?
I do hope they win the erection too.
My teacher said, "Upcoming erection", back during the 2008 elections.
The erection was obviously deliberate, r is about 500 miles from l unless you live in france in which case i don't give a fuck.

They're not gonna get any Brownie points that way.
There is an up and cuming erection.
I'm going to keep my eye on this.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!
I am late.
Time for my clocks.
(For my "There is an up and cuming erection." post.)
Two former cabinet ministers calling for a vote =/= A VOTE IS GONNA HAPPEN
