The thing that nobody talks about with that incident is Holyfield's use of roughhouse tactics his whole career.
He wasn't necessarily a dirty fighter, but holyfield's use of his head when coming into clinch range was rarely accidental. He had a notorious reputation for head clashes and use of elbows on the inside.
