You guys realize that Battlefield 3 won't stop Call of Duty from being the top-selling franchise just because it's good, right? People will continue to buy Call of Duty anyways.

I like how the dialogue in BF3 seems a bit more like real people talking to each other instead of assholes spouting as many technical military sounding terms as the possibly can.

Both are totally different games. Battlefield provides a more realistic FPS with vehicles and commanders, all that good stuff. Call of Duty is way different than Battlefield. CoD is an arcade style shooter, where you can kill 20 guys with a sniper rifle and call in a nuke thats somehow tactical. Both games are fun (I'll probably get disagrees because some of you lot are BF fanboys) and they're totally different, only the theme of the games being similar. If CoD had vehicles and more realism, with a commander system, then yeah, compare it. But it doesn't.
Personally I'm going to get BF3, but I like to play with my friends, so I'll get MW3 too. Video games are about fun, people. Not about how detailed an explosion or a building collapsing is. Some of you guys need to realize this. Don't think I'm saying everyone on Facepunch is like this, but I know there's a few of you that act like MW3 is the worst video game ever made.

I wasn't basing my claim off of the graphics. Even though Battlefield 3 clearly takes the cake in that aspect.

Agreed. Is it so hard for people to stop bitching about MW3 regardless of how little hope it has and realize that Battlefield 3 isn't going to be the greatest thing ever just because people are tired of Call of Duty?

How can you disagree with the notion that they're both equally great games with an equal amount of hard work put into them? If one of them sucks then the other is just as bad.
