Farewell internet, you'll be missed.
I mean on one hand we might finally get to hear Negan say fuck, on the other hand goodbye internet.
But uh, does he have any back up or something? Someone like him to take the seat and make sure nothing bad happens?

Nope, he knows trump was going to remove him once he took office so he decided he might as well step down.
As of right now there is a 2-1 republican majority with one already saying he would remove net neutrality as soon as possible and trump will appoint another republican likely to chair the committee.

I have no words, only screams and hopes that Trump will fall form his seat, one way or another.
We should have an ¨end of the internet party¨
oh wait it would just be losers shitposting on a forum.
:v:
No but seriously this makes me want to scream.
Is there anything we can do?
Comcast....why
Can someone start a petition begging Trump to acknowledge that Net Neutrality is a human right or something
if you voted for trump, you are a fucking idiot.

can i join this failure of a rocket? we'll die.
well i guess at least we don't get buried in this shithole
I only hope that this gives ISPs the courage to just instantly ramp shit up in terms of price gouging, website packages you gotta pay separately extra for or you'll experience molasses-in-winter speeds, and the extreme cost of going over the soon-to-be tiny data caps. They've been slowly and forcefully inserting their dicks deeper into our collective asses for decades without anyone noticing. Maybe this will make them shove it in balls deep in one thrust so people will notice and stop this fucking shit.
The internet needs to start another mass protest like when Google shut down for a while to protest SOPA and PIPA. Killing net neutrality is so fucking harmful it may as well be a license for ISPs to kick your door in and rob you at gunpoint. The Republicans are very obviously paid by them to do this because no sane politician that knows what this means for free trade and anti-trust law would NEVER allow this to happen.
I remember when Wheeler was first appointed, people lost their shit because he used to work for Comcast. Turned out that we were all pleasantly surprised in the end, and he did a good job of upholding net neutrality.
I can only hope that we can say the same of whatever chucklefuck we end up with when he's gone.
I can't wait to see people defend no net neutrality because trump said it was bad. expecting lots of trickle down economy-style defenses with 'more money=more infrastructure!'
He drowned in the swamp.

Remember, he's the "meme" candidate and Clinton is the "crooked" one.
One only hopes that Europe's net neutrality laws stay strong.
We will make our own network, our own websites and our own ways of staying in touch with the world if this happens. We will make our own software that will let us do this, our own security measures that make sure the corp's can't get to us (and most of them are too stupid or lazy to put any effort into figuring anything out) and the internet will survive.
And even then, if U.S. will do it while losing its own power and influence around the world (as predicted) then maybe it's only the people of U.S. that will have to endure this ridiculous retardation. I only hope that the world will not suffer too much.

i'm sure trump has the right man for the job, like the CEO of AT&T or someone

We need a mass protest

Maybe the second amendment people can do something about that.

Well fucking great, its not like I can move anytime soon.
I doubt net neutrality will fall since governments have tried other retarded shit in the past like SOPA and CISPA, and both of those bills fell flat on their keisters from overwhelming backlash.

2 words, republican majority
This is all really very scarry.
I would say there would be riots or protests, but god knows that people can only riot over the wrong partied president getting elected and not something that we all have in common
All I can really say at this point is to buy a shitton of hard drive space (and other data storage mediums, CD/DVD/Blu-ray, etc) and download EVERYTHING you can. All your downloadable games (Steam, GOG, PSN, etc, also things that don't have the whole game on the disc), all your favorite youtubers' videos, website backups (Wikipedia, Facepunch, Reddit, etc, especially of smaller sites that won't be able to pay to be on a website package), linux distros, everything. Hopefully you'll have enough content to ride out the storm.
Also, look into things like mesh networks.
