I own a brand new Macbook pro with all the up to date installations and I just bought the Canon Vixia HF S20. I understand the Pixela CD applications are not compatible with Mac computers. I read on how you can import videos from the camera into final cut. However I was wondering if there is still a way for me to take the videos from my camera and be able to store them all in a file on my computer? Maybe some outside software is available? Also I was wondering if the camera is already set to HD 1080, because I seem to not be able to find the menu where you can change that?
i just googled it man: http://www.applemacvideo.com/camera/convert-camcorder-canon-vixia-videos-mac.html You might have to buy the software though
USB, should show up as mass storage. If you had a tape camera, you would just go firewire and log + capture
I will recommand a software which might be useful: Onde Screen Capture for Mac is a professional and powerful screen grabbing utility running on Mac OS http://www.ondesoft.com/index.html
