Ever since i first got Garry's mod 8.0 i have been lurking on this web page. I remember coming here being scared of making an account because of the harsh and elitist way everyone treated eachother. But one day I managed to build up enough courage to finally create my own facepunch account.
I was 11 at the time, and i wouldn't post on fast threads or anything like that because i was afraid to get banned for my stupid 11 year old logic. So i hanged out at gmod pics. Making vehicles, Poses and Comics. I remember my earliest shit always got battered to the ground, but that's why i love you guys, this place didn't fuck around. You give constructive criticism in a: "Do this next time or you will be banned and killed" kinda way. It's been a long ride with you guys, even though i've been banned, cursed at, dumbed, had the worst smart rating. I still love you guys and i will come back to this site everyday for as long as we can go.

Facepunch changed me for the better, got permabanned from another forum for being a massive shitposter and then it leaked onto FP for awhile until I stopped.
Facepunch definitely helped my english and post quality improve
The thing I love the most is the sense of community. Often fellow FPers group up and grt along rather easily. The forums might be Garry's unwanted child, but they sure are not evil

This is probably the most common thing I've heard about Facepunch, and I think that's a really cool feature for the forums.
love thread helped me a lot in the past. Most of my friends there (and wayt) are still my friends today. Even met some Irl.
Made some mistakes here and there like the rest of the people who were stupid kids/teens when we came here but no regrets.
I was drawn to Facepunch because my friend would always send me pictures from the LMAO Pics thread. Eventually he stopped doing that, so I made an account for myself. My favorite thing is how many times I've had people come to my profile just to comment "c:" ... I like the friendlys and I hope they like me.
I came in 09 after Ubercharged.net was destroyed. These days I wish I had found Facepunch sooner...

Only been active here for around a year, and damn me if it hasn't been a rollercoaster ride already. I enjoy interacting with the folks on the board, met a lot of interesting people, and frankly I just like the way this forum works.

I have been here since I was 11 as well! It is really amazing how much I would post back then. I'm glad that the posts are pretty much impossible to find at this point (is there still an archive?) because they were goddamn horrible.

I remember being too afraid to make an account because the 05'ers and mods were very harsh and felt hostile towards younger users (like myself). Eventually made an account but I was one of those "fucking 06'ers"
