I am about to enlist into the US Army myself. I went in and filled out all the paperwork, just gotta get my birth certificate and GED transcript and they will let me go to MEPS. I am waiting a couple more weeks to turn them in though so I can pass a UA.

Can anyone tell me what I should do in order to A. Get deployed somewhere cool and B. Be the toughest most dangerous motherfucker who ever did leave and C. get to shoot stuff? I have been thinking about going into Infantry and aiming for Rangers or Special Operations.

You should probably ask in the Thinking of Joining the Military? thread, I know a lot of people in the military on FP browse that thread pretty frequently.

Do we know of any military, or unit perhaps, that uses this?
That's the Barrett XM109 25mm anti-material rifle/grenade launcher, it's built on a M82 lower, and can be swapped out with a M82 upper, so it's multi-purpose.

Think it would be pretty scary to be on the receiving end of this.
