He then is released, equipped with money, a cellphone and expensive clothes. As he strives to explain his imprisonment and get his revenge, he soon finds out his kidnapper has still plans for him.
This is such a fucking good movie with such a great ending. It's intense, thought-provoking, and had great cinematography. The Korean names might take a little getting-used-to, but it's totally worth it. I recommend it to all you facepunchers out there.
I tried watching this, albeit in bits and pieces (always from where I left off) and I'm having a hard time understanding anything that's going on.

Movie was convoluted at times, I enjoyed the fight scenes though, great cinematography.
This film was sick when you uncover the story at the end of the film, really well made, very climatic, good fighting scenes, and oh god the part where he ate that octopus at the restaurant :cthulhu:

Great movie. I didn't find the plot hard to understand at all., and I'm usually the guy who's saying stuff like, "Wait who's that guy? Why did they kill him?"
Apparently the actor is a Buddhist so he had to go pray for three hours or something after they shot that scene, I forget the specifics.
I read that he had to eat a few different octopi for different takes and he had to pray after each one.
I watched it with my sis and I thought it was pretty good. Some of it I thought was a little cheesy but I think it was the english dubs that made it that.
English dubs!?
The English dubs for this movie are terrible. You should have watched with the subs. I actually watched it yesterday for the first time, amazing movie. I didn't particularly like the very end though [sp]where he gets hypnotized again in order to forget that it's his daughter.[/sp] I think they should have did something else for that part but I can't really think of anything that would suit better.
never EVER EVER watch a movie with dubs
never EVER EVER watch a movie with dubs
Even if you don't know how to read?
Even if you don't know how to read?
Well, if you don't know how to read... Then you wouldn't have read that advice in the first place! So party on, illiterate people.
always watch a film in it's original language. that's what subtitles are for [editline]8th December 2010[/editline] and if you can't read well then fuck you learn to read and if you're dyslexic well fuck you anyway
More like if you are dyslexic, fuck you learn to write properly. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] And if you have problems with reading due to bad eye vision well fuck you get some glasses or contact lenses. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] wait.. I have bad eye vision, but I don't wear glasses but lenses.
i think you will find that dyslexia is also with reading not just writing
i think you will find that dyslexia is also with reading not just writing
I never know how does dyslexia functions in reading, is it like not reading properly and not understanding the text?
you see words/letters in the incorrect order, it's like a processing problem and it just throws words out of whack so you literally have to decipher them i guess making most of your reading guesswork get educated bro wiki some shit ok
fuck YESSSSSssss [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] also those other movies in 'The Vengeance Trilogy' are fucking ACE, i didn't like sympathy for lady vengeance that much though.
always watch a film in it's original language. that's what subtitles are for
Well there are exceptions for this. What I do is find a preview of what the dub version sounds like, and if it's terrible then I go with subs. Some dubs are outstanding and you wouldn't even know that the original movie was in a different language. See most of Miyazaki's work. The dubs on that are excellent. I can't think of an actual movie as an example but I'm sure there are some outstanding dubs out there.
I like the dub for Spirited Away because the old witch woman, Yubaba or something sounded exactly like Principal Skinner's mother from the Simpsons.
