The sad thing is you can't really blame him. He had a pair of aces. What are the odds.

It's kinda weird seeing people wear sunglasses in poker.

Yeah I almost feel like it is cheating to cover your face in any way, that is what always made poker fun for me was trying to read people faces. What happened to the good ole' poker face.
Man Katz was so like "God that wasn't supposed to happen".
Surely he has winnings from earlier games that he can fall back on? I mean, it was a 1 million buy-in, so he must have a good amount of money to begin with, no?

I once saw a guy in one of these kinda big tournaments wear sunglasses, hoodie (yes with the hood on) and kinda trying to cover the rest of his face with his shirt or whatever
I think it would be a lot more interesting without all that shit
Sooo, you could say
his game
went down the drain.

Oh of course, esp. as a big name loan company owner, he's probably fine.
The impact of this isn't really the lost cash, it's the fucking ODDS
dueling aces solved by a full fucking suit river?
goddamn. I'm sure Drinan wasn't even that fucking mad, just blown away by it all.
That devastating dissapointment look on his face....

You can read a player better from posture, breathing, how they move their hands and legs, etc. In fact I've heard some people will watch your neck to get the idea of your pulse too. Body language is harder to fake than a good poker face.

its amazing how we subconsciously telegraph our feelings even in situations in which you KNOW you shouldn't be, and are actively trying to fight it
