It's a Robinson R-22. I used to fly it for lessons, and this video made me feel nostalgic. They'll run you about 220 Gs IIRC.
Those helicopter pilots were such bros. I can't believe they not only saw the kid crash the plane, but gave enough of a damn to go and retrieve it for him. Speaks on the kindness of the human soul.

And it shows how this hobby connects them. Imagine being a kid flying this plane, wishing one day you will get to fly the real thing. Then you loose it. Out of fuckin nowhere, a helicopter picks it up for you, doing exactly what you dreamed to do. makes me feel warm inside :smile:

There's always ultralights, in the US you don't need a license to fly them, not so sure about canada though.
