• David Hayter to make werewolf movie 'like Twilight but with a bit more bite'
Thanks to an overseas distribution deal made with French company TF1 and financing by Winchester, Hayter is looking at a July start on Wolves, an $18 million budget thriller that nearly got going once before at Crystal Sky until the credit crunch. Hayter describes the picture as “Twilight with a bit more bite to it, and without abstinence.” Hayter said he de-constructed past werewolf films, took out the mythology that haunted the screen adaptations, and found a way to make it a metaphor for a teen maturing sexually into adulthood, at the age when young men howl at the moon. While Hayter had Thomas Dekker and Ray Stevenson lined up for the Crystal Sky version, casting is just getting underway. Canada-based E1 will handle Canadian distribution on Wolves.
Source: http://www.deadline.com/2010/03/dark-hero-duo-find-tv-home-at-e1/
Hayter describes the picture as “Twilight with a bit more bite to it, and without abstinence.”
Pro-tip: Comparing your movie with Twilight is NOT a good thing. Snake? Snake?? Snaaaake!? What the fuck are you doing :crying:
It might sound shit from the "It's a bit like Twilight" description, but it's David fucking Hayter, it's bound to be awesome.
Can't you people see he's trying to do. It's going to be a werewolf movie with sex and gore.
Can't you people see he's trying to do. It's going to be a werewolf movie with sex and gore.
What a visionary.
Watch it be horrible and have no D. Hayter till halfway through when he comes out from under a box and proceeds to systematically slaughter them all. "The first thing you should learn when maturing kid. Never choose your fights wrong."
I only hope that this doesn't tarnish the rep of werewolves like Stephanie Meyer tarnished the rep of vampires.
If they look like the "werewolfs" in twilight AKA regular wolves, then i'll be shit.

Paramedic what is this it's a wolf, snake a wolf, HMMMMMRGH
"Werewolves never change"
Wrong canon, that's the bunch of Werewolves that carry around Moon-Pip-Boys and go looking for AntiSilver chips for their caves, which they get kicked out of once they find them.
You've not played MGS4 have you?
David Hayter? Didn't he have something to do with Snake from MGS? Voice actor?
I guess that's that...
David Hayter? Didn't he have something to do with Snake from MGS? Voice actor?
Yeah, the voice actor of solid snake. He also wrote the scripts for the first two X-Men films and Watchmen too, so that's cool.
Yeah, the voice actor of solid snake. He also wrote the scripts for the first two X-Men films and Watchmen too, so that's cool.
And now he's making a movie about yiffing.
I always thought his last name was Heyter.
Oh nooooooooo
Hopefully it'll be like that.
David Hayter is in on it. I'm already interested. :D
No, just make another Dog Soldiers.
God dammit snake, from X-men 3 and Watchmen to this
I'll most likely watch it because I like David Hayter, it better not be utter shit like twilight though! :argh:
Trying to make anything like Twilight and further fuck over another kind of monster (Twilight already started fucking up werewolves too) made me quite loudly exhale in disappointment.
Well, you never want to set the bar too high...
Fun fact : Hideo Kojima is a massive fan of Twilight. Actually, that's not fun at all. What am I saying? http://kotaku.com/5395393/hideo-kojima-a-huge-fan-of-twilight-will-judge-your-fan-art
I like David Hayter, but this movie sounds like a disgusting bestiality romp. As for comparing it to Twilight... I'm by no means a fan of that series, but it's admittedly a cash cow. Hayter's likely looking for sloppy seconds on the fan girl crowd.
Wasn't this already done with Ginger Snaps.
