best star wars game or bestest star wars game?
Maybe you should play Dark Forces II before you say this game is good.
Best Star Wars game.
I knew the Benny Hill theme song would be in this video even before pressing play...
What about the X-wing series, Republic Commando, Battlefront, and KOTOR? The Dark Forces series is great but there are other great Star Wars games too
People still play this? Even considering the age of its sequel?

Thats like saying "People still play Doom?" old games are fun you know.
Oh the memories.
I loved this game so much you can't imagine.

I can. Believe me, I can.
I loved this game and still do, Battlefront is better though. The thing that ruined this game was was lack of checkpoints and save points.
Best christmas present ever. Played it until I basically knew every bug in the game. I remember just messing around with the console commands and npcs.
I remember spawning 600 lukes to help me in one level.

Brb, reinstalling the game.
I would be playing this, if ATI-opengl drivers dinn't break half of the old games I know.
Best Star Wars game. Unlike the other ones, you actually feel like a jedi in this one :colbert:

Nostalgia
Errr, how are nostalgia and myocardial infarction related again?
I found my retail CD. I'm going to buy it on the christmas sale though.
I remember playing this with my brother, That stage+Force grip=Win.
But that game was awesome until some guy came into a server and talked about Jedi academy, I never knew about it and it had been released like ages ago.
But in my opinion Jedi Outcast had a better storyline while Jedi Academy was meh, But the mod MovieBattlesII is awesome for Academy.
The multiplayer in academy is better. Other than that, outcast is better.
Oucast wins in the singleplayer department, but in regards to multiplayer, Academy is far superior. Movie Battles II is where it's at.
Good thing I bought this on the steam sale when it came out, my retail CD was destroyed when my dad got mad at me for not studying and broke it with a hammer.
Great game, great memories.
Although the vid was a bit LAME. See what I did there? Yeah I-- Oh bugger all.
I never had a copy but I played SP at a friends, and I used to install the demo and just go nuts with spawning enemies at the final duel in the hangar. It's surprising how much more fun it is when you walk instead of running, have saberrealisticcombat on, and don't jump around like a pogo stick. It completely changes the game and honestly makes the saber duels more interesting and tense.
JA was better than JK II. It was the same thing but with dual sabers and the double saber, as well as more maps, more models and better graphics.

Well that's a mod. Vanilla outcast still wins for the exact same reason solo gameplay wins.
Make your own combos and styles not button mash you way to random animations.

It really wasn't, see my above post.
But iirc wasn't the single-saber animations and Whatnot the exact same on JA as JO? Or by JK2 did you mean dark forces?
Eh i really should know this, WORK BRAIN WORK.
Regardless, I loved academy vanilla Multiplayer more than JO's, With the introduction of Saber Staff and Dual Sabers there was alot more hard-counters to think about
I started playing through this game recently. It's so fucking hard. Regardless of how much I've played it, I have so much trouble on the Jedi Knight difficulty. It's so fucking fun and awesome though.
Also: devmapall then g_saberRealisticCombat

Your dad sounds new to the fact that games cost MONEY.
I hate how people fight like fucking Yoda all the time

The thing is if I want to do a triple flip 360 degree spin whatever slash thing I can just do it with the jumping slashing commands in JKII. In JKA all of a sudden the guy starts jerking off and doing some sort of shit animation that isn't at all what I want. It's like sync kills that randomly start whenever you try to shoot.

Holy crap I can't believe I forgot about this
