More pollution than ever before *Shows picture of Nuke water tower*
More pollution than ever before *Shows picture of Nuke water tower*
Well they do pollute.
Well they do pollute.
I mean nuclear waste I get but do the water towers?
Well they do pollute.
Yeah but it's probably one of the most efficient ways of producing energy, so it's just a shitty stereotype to think cooling towers are just as bad as coal plants. If anything nuclear energy + wind/solar would be an ideal solution for reducing pollution, but honestly this video makes no sense. Yeah we make technology both good and bad, but then it's arguing that we should only make good technology but that's just hindsight bias. And love n shit, love doesn't put food on the table, love doesn't produce energy. Idk its just preachy nonsense made for the intention of getting a bunch of facebook likes which in turn encourages the lazy activism of 'like and share to stop terrorism' and funny enough gives more money to the 'big corporations' they hate so much. It's kind of ironic actually, just slap on a college humor tag and its satire.
It's kind of moronic actually,
Fixed that for you, this is absolute cockshit and it needs to stop. Lazy activism is dumb as fuck, either you stand up, grab your god damn protest sign or torch and go out there and shout your demands loudly, or you sit down and don't do shit about it. This couch activism does nothing but feed a bunch of likewhores.
This feels like slacktivism porn.
ANOTHER one of these videos?? holy shit they just don't stop popping up periodically. And the worst part is that this takes a dumb intelligent design turn at one point. Might be the worst one I've seen yet.
More pollution than ever before *Shows picture of Nuke water tower*
[t]http://science.jrank.org/kids/article_images/ice_p07.jpg[/t] I take it tea kettles pollute too look at all that HARMFUL WATER VAPOR [editline]2nd January 2016[/editline] the moment I saw that I couldn't take the video seriously at all what a joke you're going to say the "pollution" and then show a picture at what is considered one of the greenest energy we have [editline]2nd January 2016[/editline]
Well they do pollute.
nuclear waste disposal is extremely clean IF done properly it can be insanely devastating but only if you're a total fool with it
I find it concerning that right after such a video he instantly begins to promote a recently established organisation. On the website, there's no clear way to know how the money is spent, in fact it lazily ask for money and doesn't ask you to do anything else other than a "certificate". The FAQ is basically selfless promotion of how everything they're doing is great and that it's efficiency is proved by the very same company that is supporting and financing them. Giving them money is also not a donation as it is tax deductible "because you are doing more than merely making a donation. Stand For Trees supports REDD+ projects that go beyond the traditional, charitable model for development aid." I'm sure that REDD, the organisation behind Stand for Trees, do put effort in helping the deforestation and I do support the cause but I feel like there's a better way than by using viral marketing to amass income while keeping the more dedicated donators in the dark.
