the only redeeming quality of that is that it uses the classic battlefield melody, but it's still electronic garbage
yeah the idea is that it's electronic but with the old feel to it
but that doesn't make it objectively bad because i honestly think it's the best version of the theme to date

bad company one and two had some pretty bomb ass themes i will give them that
but 4 is something i really dig
though perhaps my taste is already predetermined by listening to a shitton of like heavy electronic post-rock type shit like NIN, St. Vincent, and Sigur Ros
I like how 2142 didn't have a electronic sounding one, yet it's the only one set in the future.

The melody feels lost under a sea of noise.
Sure it's not as great as the previous (Nostalgia may be involved) but I like the fusion of electronic and traditional.

The newer themes are better than just noise but they're still terrible compared to the old ones, and that is painfully obvious because they're new takes on those

all of you people are saying this shit as if it's fact
a "personally i like the older themes better" is fine, but a "wow the new themes are awful compared to the old ones" is essentially pushing the idea on others, when there's someone like myself who thinks that it's arguably the best theme yet.

I think actual instruments with some oomph to them conveys a feeling of a big battle going down than something ripped out of the Tron soundtrack, personally. It's decent enough music, but not good battlefield music. Sounds like something some deadmau5 crazed fan made, not something in an actual battlefield game :v:

Bad Company 1 was where BF hit it's peak, honestly. Stagnated with BC2 and went downhill from there.
I always thought 1942 had the nicest version of the BF theme
The original Battlefield themes are incredible.
They just exude valor and heroism- make you feel like a soldier on the ground, but whenever I hear the new ones I just think of gritty military shooter generica.

So satisfying to hear this after the map switches to Operation Road Rage.
The Battlefield 3 and 4 themes in this video aren't the actual themes. That's just how they end all of their ads.
