Probably private servers only.
What I would really also want is to record games using an inbuilt game recorder (just as in COD4).

Lets hope that if they do add mods tools hopefully they'll add more of the stuff we want.
Ergh. I'm getting a Limited Edition MW2 Xbox 360 with MW2 ofcourse, and now they say they are going to make mods. The main reason why I got the 360 was because it was the same, but now I'm going to have to wait, upgrade my PC on my own instead of with Christmas help and then get the game. Damnit.

They are teasing about Modding tool NEWS. They didn't say it would come out.
I honestly don't see the reason to upgrade your computer for a game that will be forever known for it's terrible dev choices.

it'll be like in Red Faction: Guerrilla when I went online with my singularity rifle and whenever I hosted everyone's rifle shot singularity bombs.

Actually no, give us dedicated servers first [i]before[/i] modding tools. Failing that, at least fix IWnet so that it doesn't suck old sweaty balls.
Some quality mods could be made on MW2, both online and offline (IF we got dedicated servers for the online part). I still stand saying that we could have nice singleplayer, and the spec ops part could maybe be modded to start the mod and go more player.
