Michele Bachmann (R-MN) claims the end of days is near, and as proof the former Republican presidential candidate cited President Barack Obama's decision last month to support Syrian rebels, which she calls al-Qaeda terrorists, with anti-chemical weapons gear and limited arms. “This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history," Bachmann told Jan Markell, radio host of "Understanding the Times," on Saturday. “Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann added later. “And so when we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; that these days would be as the days of Noah. We are seeing that in our time. Yes it gives us fear in some respects because we want the retirement that our parents enjoyed. Well they will, if they know Jesus Christ.”
These are the people who shut down the government, folks.
So she is both pro-Israel and pro-Assad :v:
She's bat-shit crazy if she believes that the end of times is even remotely related to American politics.
The fuck is she even saying
She's bat-shit crazy if she believes that the end of times is even remotely related to American politics.
This is a god-fearing nation, goddammit
This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history
Yep, the US supporting rebels in a foreign country is now a sign of the end times even though this shit has happened before. This person was a presidential candidate.
Who are the people who voted this idiot into office Let's start a campaign to educate her constituency
Well Ronald Reagan also directly supported the Mujahedin so I guess the world's been over for a while.
Jesus christ.
So she is both pro-Israel and pro-Assad :v:
IIRC she thinks FDR caused the great depression and Calvin Coolidge got us out of it, but that sounds a bit far fetched.
Call me a neckbeard fedora-tipping euphoric r/atheism dropout but holy shit when elected representatives start talking like this
“This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history," Bachmann told Jan Markell, radio host of "Understanding the Times," on Saturday.
We just have to stop the conversation and collectively point out how fucking crazy this sounds. This person was leading the Republican pack in the 2012 Presidential election for a time and is still seen as a popular politician.
The situation becomes dangerous when messianic fundamentalists become involved in politics.
The situation becomes dangerous when messianic fundamentalists become involved in politics.
The scary thing is that they've been in politics in this country from before it was even independent.
She's bat-shit crazy if she believes that the end of times is even remotely related to American politics.
Bachman claimed God told her to run for congress. she passed bat-shit crazy solme time ago and has been full on mental patient crazy for a while
And here I thought Bachman had already hit sanity rock bottom.
Obama supported Al-Qaeda. Yes. That's why he killed bin-Laden. He killed him supportively.
Can we....just ignore her like we did with Palin , maybe she will go and fall into a fracking well and die... Who ever elected this lady needs to be stripped of their citizenship because they obviously don't understand you can't elect mentally deranged people as much as you can't change what actually happened in history.
Michelle Bachmann should be a controlled substance, because every time you listen to her you hear some crazy shit that isn't even real.
Even Minnesota hates Bachmann.
Even Minnesota hates Bachmann.
How'd she get elected then?
How'd she get elected then?
It was ironic
How'd she get elected then?
God tampered with the votes so she would win.
Michelle Bachman, Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum are the biggest idiots of politics and they should all just fuck off.
How'd she get elected then?
We don't know, I don't know anyone who actually voted for her. Though her district is the 6th, which is north of the Cities and that's all old people, so yeah, probably a combination of senility and conservatism.
Obama supported Al-Qaeda. Yes. That's why he killed bin-Laden. He killed him supportively.
you say that as if obama personally had his hands wrapped around his neck.
Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand
lol what is she even saying
"Please don't reelect me"
How'd she get elected then?
because a small portion of northern rural minnesotans like her
because a small portion of northern rural minnesotans like her
But.. but... her entire district is goddamn suburbs and shit. :l
Yep, the US supporting rebels in a foreign country is now a sign of the end times even though this shit has happened before. This person was a presidential candidate.
No, she was just a candidate for the republican nomination, and only spent about two days in the media's spotlight before getting steamrolled by Romney and Santorum. In order to run in the General Election she would've had to run for a third party or as an independent, and as far as I know she didn't do either.
