But Trump, a former businessman who prides himself on being a masterful negotiator, is claiming - and getting - most of the credit for the sudden burst of Olympics-related diplomacy between the two Koreas. [B]During a Jan. 4 phone call in which the South Korean leader briefed the American president on the plans for talks with North Korea, Trump asked Moon to publicly give him the credit for creating the environment for the talks, according to people familiar with the conversation. This slimey bastard makes me sick to my stomach whenever he pulls a stunt like this. He singlehandedly escalated tensions and he's essentially asking for a public recognition that the size of his "bigger button" intimidated them into talks? I don't know how much more of his term I can take.
I thought this was about The Moon and it sounded like a typical Trump headline
I thought this was about The Moon and it sounded like a typical Trump headline
Same. Sad that it doesn't sound crazy.
I was going to write 'Why am I surprised' but even saying that sarcastically, now, rings hollow and emptily. What a tragedy this Presidency is, that our President would stoop so low as to tell other world leaders to 'tell the media he's great and did [x] all by himself'. I hope the movie that comes out on Trump after this is all over is called 'Narcissus'.
I thought this was about The Moon and it sounded like a typical Trump headline
Honestly, it's a typical Trump headline either way. I honestly think he would say something like that and refer to the orbital body 250,000 miles above our heads if he thought it'd stroke his ego somewhat :v:
Worth mentioning that Moon smiled when asked by a reporter if Trump deserved credit for the talks.
I'm just going to quote myself from the previous thread
What's more, they're currently renegotiating their trade agreement with the US. The world knows how to work Trump, they just have to stroke his ego and he gives them anything they want.

I'm just going to quote myself from the previous thread
I, for one, feel very safe under a leader that's this easy to manipulate /s
