So basically, for the first time, String Theory has been used to solve something that was a mystery.
This is a big kick in the balls for the people that criticized String Theory.
String Theory can still suck my dick.
Also, try :eng101:
Wow, they've used Bollocks to solve a mystery.
It's still not proven, this gives string theory a lot more credibility.
:psypop:
So the answer to the mystery is wrong?
I like string theory, but I think M-Theory is more credible, which is basically a mod of string theory.
I haven't studied Physics in enough depth to make any valid judgements on String Theory, but I don't have any issues with it at the moment.
Hell, whatever allows us to understand the universe around us is ine with me.
I'm not a big fan of the string theory.
By the way, it didn't "solve" the mystery, it only gave an explanation for it. There's a huge difference.
Superconductivity at high temperatures has long been a 'hot issue' in physics
Lol, newspuns in the news.
Why the hell do they use the term high-temperature instead of low-temperature?
Because that's what it is, a high temperature superconductor, there is no mystery about a low temperature one.
Because that's what it is, a high temperature superconductor, there is no mystery about a low temperature one.
I mean it just seems quite strange to talk about HOLY FUCK FREEZING as high temperature.

You know, instead of rating me bad Spelling, maybe you could tell me what's wrong.
Fixed. :eng101:
Also, that is Awesome.
I like this thread

Yeah it does seem strange, but high and low temperature is relative. Also, it's better than something like 'Low temperature but not quite as low temperature as low temperature superconductors superconductor"

Another Example: Cold Fusion.
Lol, I don't know what string theory is.

Here is an excessively simplistic explanation:
Everything is made out of 1-dimensional "strings" that fold in on each other, also, this requires the creation of as many as 11 new dimensions to explain.
Those critics have their hands tied.

We are a point then a line then a fold then another line then another fold then another point followed by another line then two more points.
I watched a video on youtube i have the edumacations to speak on this subject :buddy:

That video is awful. Awful awful awful.

I like the part where they say the last point is how everything else could have been and is but isn't because we're not.
Or some shit I don't know.
Hey guys I'm gonna be a string theorist some day.
Because that's the only way to get a job as a physicist
i believe in the life is a game of sims theory

Ignore the ratings, they're useless.

Thank you.

Last time I saw somebody pull that joke you could still get the expansion to Sim City on a floppy disk in the mail.
Interesting.

The eigth dimension (I think atleast) is the dimension where everything is different because the Big Bang exploded with a different composition and proportion of the elements.
