The first time it shows him recording his voice, he sounded exactly like Stewie.
he's a great voice actor, but a horrible writer
He's not that bad a writer really, in fact all the best episodes of Family Guy were actually written by Seth, if you look into it Family Guy started to get worse when Seth stopped writing for it ( he currently doesn't write for it much as he does more American Dad ) he is a good voice actor too alot of the voices of the show's he does are done by him, wasn't like up until a year ago i found out he does Stewie Brian AND Peter on FG ( among many more of the show's )

I guess that could add to the funniness of family guy, in a strange way it inst designed by committee since the guy writing also plays some major characters.
