In fact, they are planning a big event around Trump's inauguration — the "DeploraBall." Organizers of the event, which plays off Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's "basket of deplorables" swipe at some Trump supporters, have rescinded the invitation of a prominent social media personality with the alt-right movement, Tim Treadstone, better known by his Twitter handle @bakedalaska. He tweeted on Monday anti-Semitic and racist comments that included "it's a common fact the media is run in majority by Jewish people, it's similar to observing blacks are good at basketball." Another alt-right leader, author and organizer of the DeploraBall, Mike Cernovich, appears to have reached out directly to Treadstone to tell him it was not wise to raise the "JQ?" — or Jewish Question when he is a featured guest at the event. Cernovich also urged no Nazi salutes either, a gesture popular with the movement. That's when things got heated and turned public. Treadstone posted the private correspondence between him and Cernovich. Then posted a 45-minute tirade he titled "Oy vey! Banned from Deploraball." The Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi publication, weighed in on the feud and sided with Treadstone: "The Deploraball is apparently an attempt at a sanitized, cuckolded, pro-Jew version of the NPI conference." It also lashed out at the event's organizers for previously uninviting leading alt-right figures like Richard Spencer and Sam Hyde. Others sided with Treadstone and took to burning Cernovich's book Gorilla Mindset.
More screenshots in the source, well worth clicking through. I haven't stopped laughing about this for at least ten minutes.
Never heard of this. They uninvited Sam Hyde though so doesn't sound very good.
:conspiratard: gone full ham once again I see.
Neo-Nazis angry over being told not to perform Nazi salutes at pro-Trump inaugural ball literally burn books in protest. Heh.
Anyone notice that the far right have skins as thin as the most sheltered, deluded Tumblr SJW? I think when you go far enough to either end of the political spectrum you come full circle.
I wonder if they'll have a deploraball pit

Is it really anti-semitic to tell that jewish people are overrepresented in US-media? Is it really racist to tell that the majority of basketball players are black? If it is, it would be sexist to tell that the majority of people are straight, or that it is racist that the majority of high-class people are white. I don't get it.
we are not logical creatures. we are prideful ones.
No, I don't think you could mistake humans for logical, but most normal people are rational. These worms, extremists on both the left and right, are to be pitied because they've willingly stunted their own intellectual development, managed somehow to survive to adulthood without actually growing up. They couldn't handle dissenting opinions, kept looking for someone to blame for their failings, or the whims of chance that had dealt them a poor hand, and instead of adapting and growing, instead of fighting, they enclosed themselves in their hugboxes, their little safe spaces, along with the other freaks and degenerates who couldn't learn to handle the real world. They invented their own reality and repeated it to each other until it became believable. A few will get a wake up call and distance themselves from those cancerous groups eventually, but most will remain pathetically unable to fit in in a world that's left them behind, the subjects of jeering whispers and derision wherever they go. Call it social Darwinism in action... It's no more than they deserve.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_theory
Horseshoe theory only holds up superficially. It's reductionist bullshit used by centrists to feel smug.
Cernovich also urged no Nazi salutes either, a gesture popular with the movement.
But they aren't nazis, guys! Don't call them that, it hurts their feelings.
But they aren't nazis, guys! Don't call them that, it hurts their feelings.
Identity politics is so pointless.
Identity politics is so pointless.
Sure is pointless knowing who subscribes to a racial supremacy ideology that advocates ethnic cleansing.
Sure is pointless knowing who subscribes to a racial supremacy ideology that advocates ethnic cleansing.
But you don't know they subscribe to that until they admit to it. Do you really think everyone self-described or otherwise alt right, really believes in a "racial supremacy ideology that advocates ethnic cleansing"?

Do you really think everyone self-described or otherwise alt right, really believes in a "racial supremacy ideology that advocates ethnic cleansing"?
No. But I also don't believe the same thing about every Nazi in Germany between 1933 and 1945. Maybe some were really in it for immigration concerns and sound economic policy, but the end result was the same.
No. But I also don't believe the same thing about every Nazi in Germany between 1933 and 1945. These cases are not comparable at all.
Oh, it's Cernovich organising it. This is probably going to go even less well than expected :v:
"they're just doin roman salutes cus they think it looks cool, guys, no association with the nazis at all" next up: "no guys you dont understand 'gas the kikes' doesnt objectively mean 'kill the jews'"
I'm talking about identity politics. Please allow me to clarify Richard Spencer and his followers are the idiots doing the nazi salute. They also consider themselves alt right. Therefore all alt-right members are nazis. This is flawed thinking.
But that was the leaders with crazy ideologies, not a few of the supporters. You are playing right back into identity politics by saying: Well some people in this group think this, there for the whole group thinks this.
Interesting you use that argument, I wonder if you would be as receptive to this argument if the subject of the conversation was replaced with Muslims, Immigrants, Left Wing, etc.
Hypocritical fallacy is also pointless. But to answer your question, yes, I would be similarly receptive. I've been saying for the last week that people have been falling trap to identity politics and group labeling. Also, what the hell. I keep getting comments like I voted for Trump, I supported Bernie in the primaries and then voted for Gary Johnson. Where do you get off accusing me of this.
Hypocritical fallacy is also pointless. But to answer your question, yes, I would be similarly receptive.
I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't ascribe to what they are arguing. It screams disingenuous. But I digress. So you do not consider the possibility that the alt-right or whatever it's referred to is a consequence of identity politics rather than a victim? That it's supporters are already entrenched in things such as racial tensions within the united states to contribute to the movement's tendancy to attract extreme views? And that calling yourself a Nazi is bad PR and a good way to get yourself disregarded, so no one can really be sure on that front either. This is all speculation. I'm not gonna witch hunt alt-righters but my personal observation clearly shows the movement has a tendency to attract a certain type of person.
This 'Alt Right' movement won't last past trump.
"JQ?" — or Jewish Question
i knew about the siegheiling but they're STILL running with the fucking "judenfrage"? at least be original and call it something else, god damn
Are we really arguing about whether or not it's it's fair to call literal neo Nazis ranting about Jews a "Nazi?"
