Who ever reads this thread should really watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncUdgvTe9s4 It's awesome. Lyrics are in description. Video not made by me.
I like Avenged Sevenfold, but I never cared for the song.
I love that song. It's my favorite song in the world. The least favorite song of mine by Avenged Sevenfold is Afterlife. It doesn't sound all that good.

I love Afterlife.
Afterlife, Scream, Gunslinger, and Dear God are the only songs i know by them but they are awesome.
Dear God is my most hated song of theirs. Any of their ballad songs are terrible.

Also, the fact you only know their most recent album makes me sad. They were much better back in the day.

Like Sounding The 7th Trumpet? You must be kidding.
Vocally, I liked their "between" stage (City of Evil/Waking the Fallen), where M. Shadows decided to balance screaming and regular vocals.
Instrumentally, they're a much better band now and I respect them a lot more. Though, a lot of their techniques make me rage, such as the voice leveller on Lost.
Oh, for a second I thought this was an XTC cover.

No, I dislike Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. Waking the Fallen is their best, and City of Evil isn't far behind.

agreed. I don't really think any of their albums are GOOD but I'd say the new one is TERRIBLE in comparison to the first two
[editline]08:11PM[/editline]
and this is probably the worst song on the album right next to afterlife
I love Afterlife.

Their latest album is Diamonds in the Rough, learn2a7x.
First and Second albums were the best. I fucking shit myself when Gates said "This one's called second hearbeat off of waking the fallen" When I went to one of their concerts.

Diamonds in the Rough isn't a full album. It's got some decent songs on it. They're pretty awesome at the live shows. A Little Piece of Heaven is one of the best songs they play live.

All of their songs live (in the concerts where they try to put on a good show) are kickass.

It has some good songs like Demons, Fight and the cover of Flash of the Blade.
Fuck yeeaaaah metal \m/
Dear God is a good song, but It's not one of my favourites by far. A7X are a great band though, I wasn't a fan of STST but Waking the Fallen onwards is top quality (Self titled less so). Also, diamonds in the rough ironically is better than the self titled and it's made up of B-sides, it has some of their best stuff on like Demons, Girl I know and a FANTASTIC cover of Flash of the blade.
The ONLY song I like by Avenged Sevenfold
Well, at least when they decided to go and do something that has absolutely nothing to do with their genre, they did a halfway decent job of it.

If you don't get the sarcasm, go die.
i feel ashamed to say i like this band, but this song isn't anything special.

...What?
gahh my broke brain
Its decent, but trashed and scattered remains my #1.
I stopped listening to them at Waking the Fallen I was young at that time.
What the fuck happened to them?
Whored out to mainstream audience, sell outs.
So this band's a country music band now?

I think they were best on both City of Evil and Diamonds in the Rough. Self-titled is good, Waking the fallen is alright, and 7th trumpet is shit.
I think that every band does an acoustic song at some point, this is Avenged Sevenfolds! and it's alright as acoustic songs go.
i played this song for my gf while i was away at basic she cried
Waking the Fallen and City of Evil are the best albums. Dear God is one of the worst songs by them. Burn it Down is fuckn insane.

Burn it down is ruined by Shadows' voice. Far too whiney on that song.
Waking the fallen is certainly their best album, City of Evil & Diamonds are great, and self-titled is a mixed bag, Trumpet was terrible.
