Tesla crushes Consumer Reports Owner Satisfaction ranking again – 91% would buy again
Our brand rankings represent owner sentiment across each brand’s product line. (Model satisfaction is determined by the percentage of owners who responded “definitely yes” to the question of whether they would buy the same vehicle if they had it to do all over again.) To determine brand love—or disdain—we took a straight average of the satisfaction score for each brand’s models.
In order to qualify, the brand had to have at least two models with data. For this analysis, we focused on cars from model years 2014-2017 to represent the current state of the brands, which included over 300,000 vehicles from the survey.

Well of course. I don't think hardcore Tesla owners are willing to try anything else.
Are you paying a premium for new tech? Positively. When other automakers catch up, will Tesla still be worth the premium price point? No.
For being marketed as a luxury vehicle, Teslas aren't actually very luxurious in comparison to similarly priced BMWs, MBs, Porsches, or any other luxury manufacturer.

teslas are expensive because it's new tech and they've got big r&d costs to pay off, it makes sense why they cost so much
They Arent as luxurious as something like a benz but theyre sure as hell faster and more exciting

And they aren't ugly and old jewish man cars like Benz either.
God those cars are pieces of shit, absolutely cursed vehicles, at least in the hands of those in my family.
I dunno but i found the Tesla pretty damn luxurious, no carbon fiber finish but the seats and comfortlevel is pretty damn high

Depending on the year you bought it, you may have a DaimlerChrysler Mercedes Benz. They make better cars now.
Also, what is an ' old Jewish man car' :v:

Tesla have recently poached quite a few senior interior designers and engineers from other big automakers. I would expect a refresh of the interiors of the S and X around the time the Model 3 launches or in the few months after.

The cars may be similar in terms of quality and features, but with Tesla you're buying a level of service wholly unlike the traditional car sales model. Not to mention the significant difference in maintenance costs between a Tesla and, say, a BMW. Those are the reasons Tesla owners are overwhelmingly happy with their purchase, not how roomy the interior is or what sort of Bluetooth gizmos it comes with.
I see a white Model S regularly in my area and god damn does it look good.
I can only imagine how great it must feel to drive it and how convenient the self-driving is when you're in the city or commuting.
Receiving updates to it like a computer or phone OS that actually make it faster and perform better too?
Is it any surprise people would buy another with how Tesla has changed the game?

it's actually fucking comical to hear Anti-Tesla people belittling the design of Tesla. they'll say shit like "yeah the interior is rather empty and unimpressive" and "it's really a shitty BMW and an eyesore, not to mention dangerous" Therefore fuck tesla!
just totally nonsense
I hope Tesla doesn't collapse before I can get my hands on one of them saucy sweet Model S~

people actually complain about a empty interior?
fuck me an empty interior is fantastic. that's just more leg room and space to put shit.

Huh. 91% of owners surveyed didn't seem to give a damn.
Surely Tesla must be doing something right.

Can you lay out some points to back up your argument?
Tesla has systems like Autopilot that are light-years ahead will probably always be better, BMW's foray in electric cars has been laughable at best, the i3 will be totally blown out of the water by the time the model 3 hits
My dad, as a lawyer, drove BMW's, and Mercedes, so that's what I grew up getting driven around in.
Why people think they're luxurious is beyond me. The seats in my dads 2007 X3 were horrendous. So uncomfortable. The ride was okay, but fuck me, comfort was not an idea when that thing was designed. He got a Mercedes MLG(I think) which was certainly more comfortable, but was so excessive in some of it's design and features that it kind of was a "oh... that's a thing?" type of vehicle in my experience.
And then again, my eldest brother who's doing quite well for himself drives a Maseratti and i've sat in that thing. It was comfortable, but for that kind of money, I would expect more.
I imagine part of that satisfaction rating also has to do with lower fuel and maintenance costs associated with electrics. Over it's life a tesla ends up being much cheaper to maintain which offsets the higher cost a bit over time.

Yeah my aunt who drives an electric fiat 500 told me that it costs like $30 a month to "fill up." Living in SF bay where there are chargers and electric cars everywhere, I'd really like the convenience of an electric car but driving a manual is just too much fun and turns driving into something I look forward to
What other car can do this??

I think what make tesla cars the best is that they're classy, without pretentiousness, or assuming the driver is a dick. Whenever you look at a big benz or a 7 series, you immediately think there's some massive fuckbelch driving it.

I usually see the usual long hatchback sedan thing (forget its name right now, Tesla has a good handful of versions already) at the lights near where I work. It has the updated grilless front and everything, looks swanky as hell.
Bet it would look great with a few body mods to make it more ~~edgy~~ at least to me, it has some good proportions and design to make it look badass.
The issue with compiling these lists are, a LOT of complaints aren't even about the car. Some have to do with specific dealerships, how that dealer handles things after the sale.
I can say with Subaru, many complaints I have helped resolve involved dealership issues.
In Tesla's case, it's how Tesla themself handles the issues.
teslas are expensive because it's new tech and they've got big r&d costs to pay off, it makes sense why they cost so much
What is annoys me is that they're so much cheaper for americans than they are for the rest of the world.

I would imagine they are. iirc they're made somewhere in California so shipping costs for a giant hunk of metal across the ocean must cost a pretty penny

Keep in mind that while empty interiors by themselves are fantastic, the kind of people that complain about those don't care about practicability as long as they can drive around in an expensive and impractical luxury car.
