Picture: Daniel Hartley-Allen
NT NEWS journalist SARAH CRAWFORD spent a week staying at the notorious Kurringal Flats in Darwin's north - here is what she found. ''F*** what are you doing? Take the c*** inside or I will tip it over the balcony," Angie, 38, roars. Even in her supremely stoned state, Ms Brinjen does not need to be asked twice. Resident Fabian Yovich, 33, saw someone tip a heavy, analogue TV off the balcony of block four. It exploded on the steps near his front door.
Read More (Long): http://www.news.com.au/national/life-in-one-of-darwins-worst-addresses-kurringal-flats/story-fncynjr2-1226580284314 ...holy fuck
Saw that this morning, glad I don't live there
Let's wait for the over generalizations and stereotypes from the Australian public. As an Aboriginal Australian, the way these stories are presented, and the reactions to these stories fucking disgusts me..

It's even worse if you mention 'fobs' or 'africans'in a suburb like Woodridge. But then again, gotta watch out for the bogans and lads...
North/North-Eastern Australia is drinking itself to death. Almost literally. I read an article in The Australian about how the Kimberley has some the highest rates of fetal alcohol syndrome, alcohol related violence/deaths and alcohol smuggling in the world (going off memory here) It's a horrible problem and a very fucking hard one to fix. heres the article for anyone interested. Congrats on not being part of the norm.

Ignoring it doesn't make it untrue; but the government hasn't enacted any plans which rectify or alleviate the social situation; removing the discrimination act against Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islanders wont help, will it.. -.-'
