The Conservative Party contracted a secretive call centre during the election campaign which may have broken data protection and election laws, a Channel 4 News investigation has found.
The Conservative Party contracted a secretive call centre during the election campaign which may have broken data protection and election laws, a Channel 4 News investigation has found.
An undercover reporter working for Channel 4 News secured work at Blue Telecoms, a firm in Neath, South Wales.
In an area plagued by unemployment and low wages, the call centre hired up to a hundred people on zero-hours contracts. For weeks, they contacted thousands of potential voters in marginal seats across the UK.
The investigation has uncovered what appear to be underhand and potentially unlawful practices at the centre, in calls made on behalf of the Conservative Party. These allegations include:
● Paid canvassing on behalf of Conservative election candidates – banned under election law.
● Political cold calling to prohibited numbers
● Misleading calls claiming to be from an ‘independent market research company’ which does not apparently exist[/quote]

Someone has to stop the Dominion.
So this is two elections in a row now that the Tories have been caught doing something they shouldn't I think.
Fiddling expenses AND fucking with data protection laws, truly paragons of humanity.
Just once I'd like to see these bastards face consequences for what they've done and continue to do.
Something serious needs to be done, they can't keep sweeping this shit under the rug.

Don't count on that - they have some real opposition in the government now. Labour has already risen, and they still smell blood in the water.

Well if it's any consolation they seem to be pretty much on their way out due to May's fuckery.

After the Cardassian comment in the other thread, I can only assume you've been watching DS9
Hey guess what? Nobody in our country cares for some reason, the Tories literally want to abolish parts of the Human Rights Act and most of us are on board with it somehow.
