I know it's totally necessary but I was gutted when he sealed it up, it looked fantastic with the wood finish.
I thought the design was really ugly with the way the edges folded up initially, then when he steamed it over the fire and slowly bent it open, my mind was blown. It was an awesome video but it seemed like a very shallow canoe, watching him row at the end with it I could see water being really close to splashing in.
Mesmerizing to watch. Incredible craftsmanship.

That being said it was still amazing to watch and crazy to think how much time it took.
It was really satisfying watching them carve the wood like it was butter.
