GAY asylum seekers who arrive in Australia by boat will be resettled in PNG despite facing prison under local laws that criminalise homosexuality, the attorney-general says.
In Sydney to announce federal funding for the HIV/AIDS Legal Centre, Mark Dreyfus said no group of asylum seekers would be ruled out of the government's new policy to send them to PNG.
"It's a general policy that anyone who arrives in Australia by boat without a visa ... will be transferred to Papua New Guinea,'' Mr Dreyfus told reporters.

Well that sucks for any gay asylum seekers. Not fond of Kevin Rudd's stance on the whole issue.
What the fuck Kevin, they will get trashed over there.
You know what, I think Rudd can back the fuck to being not PM.
"Fair shake of the sauce bottle mate" as Rudd once said. Now he's just being ironic.
Maybe I shouldn't have enrolled to the AEC. There doesn't seem to be much point in voting in this years election.
And knowing from family experiences (relative was born on Rabaul) any asylum seekers wouldn't be welcomed in PNG (seeing as a majority of the population still live within their own culture - which can be compared to conservative hardliners from the countries where these asylum seekers just fled from.

At the moment the Sex party is the only candidate when election time rolls around.
Now, now, let's not forget Gamers for Croyden here people. The Sex party may be good but er.. Actually yeah, just vote for the Sex party.
people are actually rating this winner what?
Only Australia would have a Sex party.
But seriously, what the fucking fuck fuckery fucker is this guy doing? Isn't this essentially saying he approves of the discrimination and hatred, and even the criminality, of homosexuality? What a douchebag.

it's lium, the fundamentalist brony (as if a brony wouldn't be stoned to death in leviticus)
Just don't declare you're homosexual is the only thing you can really do, and unfortunately its stupid they have to hide it if they're resettled in PNG
it's lium, the fundamentalist brony (as if a brony wouldn't be stoned to death in leviticus)
Indeed; fairly certain bestiality is forbidden under Leviticus under pain of death by stoning, same as homosexuality.
Asylum seekers is a really troubling thing to deal with, no matter what you come up with, they're always be a consequence. Allow them in? Now even more people take the risky and highly dangerous voyage in an attempt to jump the asylum queue. Be harsh? might scare some off, but those who take the journey might end off being worse off and that go against human rights.
If I was to think of anyway to solve the problem, it would be to improve the process of obtaining asylum, but I'm not sure how much of that is in Australia's control.

Still better then Tony fucking Abbot's plan to send the god damn military.
