This is a little old as it came out in August of last year, but I watched this a few days ago and found it incredibly compelling (especially with the winter Olympics coming up and Russia being banned). Have any other FPers watched it?
haven't watched it but after that trailer i am going to now
haven't watched it but after that trailer i am going to now
It's some serious tom clancy shit
i will say that i kind of think that drugs should be allowed for some sporting events just to see how ridiculous shit gets but that is my dystopic/biopunk brain talking
Just watched it; The Olympic Committee is a bunch of retards.
Just watched it; The Olympic Committee is a bunch of retards.
I thought that was one of the craziest parts. The IOC cooperates and even damns the Russians, but ultimately their corruption allows Russia to compete in Rio. Disgusting. At least they moved forward after Rio.
Just finished watching it, I thought it was a little insane that Russia would go to such extreme lengths to cheat at games. It was pretty harrowing how Putin's increased approval rating from Sochi allowed him the support to annex Crimea. Also the amount of involvement and micromanagement by Putin was crazy, it puts it into perspective just how corrupt the Russian government is. Also their hosting FIFA in 2018 at Sochi despite this, international sports is corrupt as fuck

Most high level athletes already break down faster then their normal non athletic counter parts faster, drugs would just break everything.
Just flat out no. Most high level athletes already break down faster then their normal non athletic counter parts faster, drugs would just break everything.
it isn't the rational side of my mind thinking, more the morbidly curious side.

Maybe instead of obsessing on banning doping we should instead hold multimillion dollar competitions to develop the best possible set of doping and make it mandatory for everyone to dope, no one is cheating if everyone is cheating. But that is also my dystopic/biopunk brain thinking.
i just want to see how fucking far we can get in the field of chemically enhanced humans, i want football to be mountains of muscles smashing into eachother
i just want to see how fucking far we can get in the field of chemically enhanced humans, i want football to be mountains of muscles smashing into eachother
Why not go the next step and just genetically engineer babies specifically made for competing in the Olympics?
