An amazing extreme metal band from Riverside (California)
The vocalist is Mitch Lucker and the guitarists are Garza and Heylmun.
The drummer is Alex Lopez and the bassist is Dan Kenny.
This band was formed in 2002 and they have since released two full-length studio albums, three EPs, six music videos and have one two awards.

These guys are my favourite band.
Do you like them?
OP could use some more content as for example pictures of each individual member, album art and track list for each album.
And this band is awesome, I like the solo's on No Time to Bleed.
The Cleansing is also cool because they recorded all those songs live.
I refuse to listen to band whose name is "Suicide Silence"
i like this
just fyi because there's practically nothing to discuss
welp.....

That's just ignorant.
Anyway, Suicide Silence is just a "meh" band to me. Actually, Deathcore as a whole is really quite all the same. Focuses too much on Chugga Chugga sounds and breakdowns. The dissonant vocals often get annoying as well. Maybe if these bands had more substance, they'd be worth more of my time. This isn't to say that it's all bad, just difficult to listen to more than one or two songs at a time. Too generic.

Deathcore is generic but good, so if you like it you might as well listen to Suicide Silence because it's one of the better deathcore bands.
But you have to be in a certain mood if you would want to listen to it, and once you're in that mood, deathcore is fucking amazing.
Deathcore? In my opinion it sounds more like modern death-metal/grindcore.
Regardless, who the fuck cares about genres, I love this band.
If this is indeed Deathcore, the genre name fits very well
It's quite clearly hardcore+death metal
well metalcore+death metal
I once heard this really awesome band taht literally were a hardcore punk band with a fuck tonne of death metal influences. I can't remember their name though, they were great.
Suicide Silence are good. I like Whitechapel most mainly cos they're able to bring good melodic riffs giving them something that stands out from the rest, and the vocalist is great.
grind fans would absolutely slaughter you for calling this grind though :v: I don't really see it, I mean listen to old Napalm death or Carcass' first album and it sounds pretty much nothing alike.

Metalheads
When I listen to these guys, I usually just listen to the songs "No Pity For A Coward" and "Wake Up." Anything after that I just get bored and move on to something else.
Didn't like them in concert, don't like them now.
The Cleansing is also cool because they recorded all those songs live.
Seriously? That's awesome. They're not the greatest band but I have a lot more respect for them now that I know that.
Never enjoyed their music, I just couldn't get into it.
I'll be honest, I listened to this band and thought they were good but I wasn't a fan of the vocals, but like a lot of bands I've found I have to listen to them a bit to get used to their different vocal styles. Thanks to this thread I'll give them another go, they sound like my kind of band really.
Metalheads
Well yeah that or people who enjoy analyzing music
My friend went to a Suicide Silence concert tonight. I'd never heard of them before, but she seemed really psyched.
I hate bands like this.
I hate bands like this.
This. If you're a fan of this sound, you can do better.
Fucking terrible.
I could never get into it either, but a lot of my friends love them
This. If you're a fan of this sound, you can do better.
Or they have different musical tastes than you? "Hurr someone likes something I don't they suck"
Or they have different musical tastes than you? "Hurr someone likes something I don't they suck"
ah, you took the words right out of my mouth! that's exactly how I feel.
I like their music.

If you agree with this guy, you can do better.
No but seriously your ignorance is beyond a level of stupidity and I am not just saying this because I like the band, even if this comment was on an artist I don't like this would be a stupid argument. There is no such thing as better in music.

Good to know.
There was nothing "ignorant" about my statement, fuck you very much. I was just saying that I don't like Suicide Silence. Deathcore is made up of bands that push their genre forward in only superficial ways; i.e. they only care about making it more 'brutal' than progressive and interesting. With less and less varied influences to draw from with each passing generation, the music gets more and more formulaic and predictable. I don't like formulaic and predictable music. If you do, fabulous. I still think that you can do better for brutal death metal.

What bands would be more musical Deathcore? I really need that in my life.

The Red Chord/Nasum/Brutal Truth/Misery Index would probably make a good starting point. It's all personal preference, obviously, but give them a try.
Thanks, will check it out and send feedback.
I saw them last month with The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza (Who were wayy better than the other bands) and mychildren mybride (I can't stand them). Suicide Silence put on a pretty good show. My only complain is that it was actually TOO FUCKING LOUD. I've seen my share of metal shows, but jesus that was ridiculously loud.
They're an alright band, though. I prefer Whitechapel for my deathcore needs.
And I may not like Deathcore very much, but to me it's much more bearable than modern, mainstream post-hardcore.
