The people that immigrate from Mexico are poor, whether they're legal or not, and often resort to hard labor jobs like construction and landscaping and then send money back home to Mexico. You go to the South west and the stereotype of Mexicans waiting around Home Depot for work is a reality. Regardless of where the company is from, it's not going to be white people building that wall, that's for sure. Hell, my next door neighbor can barely speak English. I know TONS of hispanic people I live by, work with, see on a regular basis, Etc. who are super annoyed with illegal immigrants.

It's not just a matter of people not bothering to go through legal channels or being unable to, there is literally a hard cap on how many people are allowed to immigrate to America per year.

I hope the joke ones can sue the government to hold up the construction though
