I read this article much more toned down in the times and Mirren was literally saying she finds it uncomfortable when men put their arms around women's shoulders in that weird protective stance. I find one thing funny about this. She's riding a feminism train yet she prefers to be referred to as a "dame". Prior to the 17th century a woman could only be titled a 'dame' if she was a wife.
