U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro declared a mistrial in the case last month, saying federal prosecutors willfully withheld evidence that lawyers for the Bundys and alleged co-conspirator Ryan Payne should have had access to while mounting their defense.[/quote] They fucked it up
Wait what? [sp]How the fuck does that work. Double Jeopardy doesn't extend to mistrials. Period.[/sp] Oh, with prejudice. Well fuck.
So I guess look forward to Nevada Range War/Malheur Refuge II sometime this year, since the screwballs will probably interpret the Fed as being powerless to stop them.

Doesn't take a law degree to suss out that double jeopardy does not apply if you re-offend with the same crime afterwards. That would count as a new crime and could be tried.
This also go into the case regarding the Refuge case? I have heard that a lot of their stuff was dismissed there thanks to the FBI agents lieing about what happened to LaVoy.

Get ready for a lot more standoffs in that area, because it'll happen.
